Somehow this bottle escaped my cellar inventory. A lovely discovery. Lots of fruit on the front. a bit too monolithic but lots going on in the flavors up front and in th middle. Fruity finish with a light dry tannin.

Light purple garnet but strong legs. Light berry nose and alcohol backing. Bright cherry and tiny tannins but good acid support. Paired with pesto with much success.

La première bouteille était défectueuse (mauvaise et alcooleuse). Cette 2e est sur son déclin mais meilleure.., sur un fruité boisé, alcool légèrement marqué, plutôt banale.

Very dark dense purple with nose of big juicy strawberries and cherries. Clove and licorice too. Grenache really shows up. Low/medium acidity and tannins. Approachable with some heat at the end.

The wine has medium acidity. It smells like black fruit and cassis. The body is medium. The wine finishes medium. It tastes like cherry, oak and black currant (cassis). The wine looks crimson colored. The legs are medium. This would be a crowd pleaser Rioja. Overall a pretty good qpr.

Only slightly translucent, dark cherry color. Aromas of youthful, concentrated Garnacha fruit: juicy dark berries, sweet strawberries, peppery spice, some menthol and a hint of vanilla. Rich, concentrated taste with dominant flavors of sweet prunes, ripe strawberries, blackberry-led dark fruit and nuances of asphalt, dried herbs and licorice beneath. Sak characteristics like sweet chocolate spice and vanilla have receded into the background noise. Mid-length, rich, ripe and sweet yet slightly coarse finish with flavors of sweet dark berries, prunes, blackberry marmalade, vanilla and cocoa in the aftertaste.
Enjoyable, modern and fruit-forward Rioja Baja red full of ripe and sweet fruit flavors with some French oak aromatics. Differs from a general Rioja red with Garnacha-driven fruit and less pronounced French oak characteristics instead of Tempranillo-driven fruit and dominant American vanilla oak. Rich, tasty and easily approachable red. However, somehow lacking personality and has really nothing that would instantly make me realize I'm now drinking Rioja. Modern, hot region red that is a bit overpriced at 18,60€.

Blood, burnt onion, leather, burnt green pepper, black pepper, and hints of burnt cherry and apricot and tobacco smoke. Good balance, but young. Drink over next 3 years.

Expressive nose with some earthiness but also a good deal of alcohol that a longer decant should help. The palate shows cherry, dark berries, mushroom, licorice, black pepper, chocolate, vanilla, and some raisin. It finishes not so smoothly with some anise. Low/medium acidity and tannins, this Crianza is a very good effort and reasonably priced. It is ready to drink but should improve with another year of cellaring.

Good, but quite oaky. Has a dark ruby color, a dark, sharp aroma with plenty of oak, and some alcohol. The flavor is more fruit, a little less oak, with tannins on the strong side. Not my favorite crianza, but decent for the price ($16 for me).
Tasted at about 60°F.

Fruit forward, expressive spicy plums, red and black berries, lots of vanilla, extracted but and plush but not overly so, seems quite elegant. Medium body, suede like texture. May be lacks complexity and the finish could be longer, but good wine nonetheless.

Bright red cherries and currants on the nose, some leaves and herbal components, tobacco and cracked pepper. Medium-bodied, medium acid, a very approachable wine, gushing with red cherries, raspberries and currants. Nice spice elements to accent the bright red fruit. Notes of soil and herbs mix with cola, vanilla roasted nuts, and coffee. New oak integrated rather well. Very approachable but not simple. 70% Garnacha 25% Tempranillo and 5% Mazuelo.

Bright black fruits with a touch of a floral character. Nice balance of ripe fruit and oak structure. Quite light on the entry, gains weight on the palate with the tarry black fruits. Luxurious tannins and a silky mouthfeel. Creamy vanilla oak on the finish.

This is a profound and balanced wine. A bit thin at first (both by color and bouquet), regains depth as time goes by. Powerful but elegant red fruit, very good structure. Yummy, long finish. Subtle. Enjoy.

Color rojo intenso, ribete granatoso bien vivo, capa baja y fina lágrima ligeramente tintada.
