88 vvPunkte

My favorite 2013. Sadly this was the last bottle of 14. Held up well past its prime. Delicious. Jolly Rancher, strawberries, complex stone fruit. Can't wait to try the 2015.

Pale salmon. Sea air, tangerine, wildflowers on the nose. Lipsmacking tangy sweet fruit on the palate with a very long echoing finish. Lovely reminder of Provence as summer fades into fall. 50 + 17 + 17 + 8.

Pale salmon. Blood orange and fennel with yeasty overtones on the nose. Melliflous apricot nectar on the palate with a long cleansing acid finish. Imposing. 50 + 16 + 16 + 8.

Very pale peachy pink (salmon). Faint grapefruit aroma. On the palette, I taste grapefruit, lemon and apricot with medium long stoney finish. This is a pretty, light, and delicious rose that might not stand up to strong flavors in food, but is very good alone or with delicate summer dishes. Elegant yet "gluggable"...beware.

Pale salmon. Lovely nose of sea air and orange with a hint of pepper. Tangy acids on the entry to the palate, precise core of blood orange on the middle, a little bite on the long finish. Balanced and correct, excellent with a salade nicoise. 50 + 17 + 17 + 8.

Popped and poured. Lovely pink / salmon color. Enticing nose of honeysuckle, citrus and minerals. Stains the pallet with strawberry and peach flavors. Nicely balanced with good acidity. An excellent Bandol rosé, but for me it takes just a slight backseat to the '12 Tempier I had last month.

very nice but not as great as the Corsican Faustine rose we had prior to this bottle. this was a bit drier and more acidic and less seamless and less generous in the fruit. perfectly great for a summer rose but the faustine really outclassed it - and as they are more or less the same price, i would not buy this again.

Summer Evening in Los Gatos: Pale salmon color. Beautiful mix of zesty lemon and green melon rind. Drier and less glycerine than the Tempier by my recollection. An excellent rose.

Smells of roses and beaches, one week off the boat, white flowers.
They have been making rose since 1975. Terrebrune's vines were planted by the founder of Domaine Tempier. And apparently replanted in the 1970s as well. So fairly old at this point.
In the glass very peachy once open with orange blossom overtones. I am being told the rose naturally keeps a natural of acidity. They bottle after the 15 of April. Lots of rich fruit, served a bit warm. but Delicious.

Something almost cloying about the batch of 2013's I have. I dunno if they aren't ready, something with the vintage, or I'm just missing something.

Wonderful, balanced Bandol rosé. This is refined and will go well with appropriate food. Minerals and austere in a good way.
