In the decanter an hour prior to drinking, drank over the next 3 hours. Ruby garnet, with an initial bitterness upfront again which faded after an hour or so. Another great Western Barossa example, enjoyable, holding up well, drink over the next 3 years.

Decanted for 30 minutes. Dark red color with bright reddish rim. 14.5% abv.
Nose of vanilla, spices and dark fruits.
Palate of dark brooding fruits, sweet plumes, black berries, towards full body, very lively acidity. Tannin seems to be fully resolved.
Finish is long with blue berries, black berries with hints of spice and oak. Perfectly balanced.
Brilliant wine! This bottle shows a lot of finnese compared to the typical Barrosa Shiraz. I am really impressed with its finish.
After 2 hours in the decanter, the intensity of acid increased and delivered a mouth puckering experience. What a joy. As the wine was dancing gracefully with me!
This is drinking very well now. But I think it might improve over the next couple of years. If I have to open it soon then I'll serve my next bottle with a 2-hour decant. I'll definitely restock this vintage if I could find it.

Sydney good food and wine show (Olympic Park, Homebush, Sydney): Savoury black berries, spice and pepper, cream and vanilla. In the mouth an instant hit of blackberry jam, spice, juicy acidity then pepper notes, tannins grow on the palate to a big mouth grabbing grip but all very balanced. Very impressive.

Needs 2 to 3 hours in the decanter to fully express itself. Awesome wine, lots of fruit and well balanced.

Needed over 3 hrs in the decanter for the bitterness to burn off. Holding up very well, try again 2023

Impressive savory tar nose. Fruit is intense but cool on palate. Tannins grip and finish with peppery intensity

(tasting@Artisans) Prominent blueberries, soft stems, chewy leather, talcum powder, perfume spices. Roses and lychee, tall tight tannin. Intense and supremely balanced structure. Try in a decade.
