I'm not an experianced champagne drinker but when I got a chance to buy a bottle from my birth year in 2017 I went for it. Put it on the shelf for a year and now tried it.
So much darker amber color than anything else I've tried and the taste was dominated by honey, toast and some other mature, although this is most def not sweet. Its dry. Bubbles were very alive and small and the fruit was still strong. Acidity was less than I thought.
Glad I tried this 40+ years bottle before it went past its peak, and didn't break the bank too much either.

Gourmetklubbens trettiosjätte middag: Tema: Inspiration från havet (Södermalm): (Disgorged in March 2017, 100% Meunière, Amber colour with a fine stream of bubbles and with a mature nose showing tobacco, smoked charcuterie, plums and a lovely pitch of intense butterscotch notes. Palate was very mature showing butterscotch, red apples and with a long fresh and honey sweetness on the finish. This was the best bottle of Heritage-76 I’ve had, very balanced and intense even when having the last glasses the night after opening! (Best 2017-2021)

Ljus. Doft som påminner om madeiravin. Medelkraftig mousse. Fruktig smak men obalanserad. Saknar friskheten som man finner hos många yngre champagner (som visserligen har en annan druvsammansättning) och den balanserade sötman hos lagrade dito. Denna har också den söta lagrade smaken men saknar balansen. Besviken.

(Disgorged in March 2017, 100% Pinot Meunier) Rich golden yellow colour still very light, and not so deep in colour as you might expect. Lively mousse, candied fruit, spices, honey and chocolate. Intense palate and very concentrated with mature apples and honey sweetness. This was a very nice experience, of course very mature but still alive and vibrant for a 40 years old bottle. Will probably best opening soon after disgorgement, but will hold a few years. Best 2017-2021.

100% PM. Stark mörk doft (av gammalt? Rännsten?). Mycket livlig mousse. Tung kort smak. Intressant men ändå en besvikelse: Ingen honungslen sötma som man kan förvänta sig av en så gammal årgång. Är det så Blanc de Noir utvecklas?
1976 Champagne: Quite recent disgorgement, some 2-3 years of post disgorgement aging. On the nose there was intense marzipan, carrots and vegetality in general. Very intense palate, such a strong presence, ripe red fruits, power over elegance. Though fades quite soon with time, becomes metallic, to drink soon and don't keep for too long when opened.

A private dinner (at home): Originally a wine from the legendary René Collard in Reuil; after his death in 2009, De Telmont in Damery took over his stocks. 100% Pinot Meunier, disgorged 31 May 2011 after an incredible 35 years on the lees. Rich but not really deep colour, golden sheen, lively mousse; powerful and expressive nose, candied fruit, spices and white hazelnuts, extremely autolytic (obviously), pepper and mint; the palate is intense and concentrated, bone-dry, incredibly fresh with very considerable bitters, not all that charming but very impressive, hint of honey; excellent length. An amazing experience, a wine that is probably unique in the world.

Dark straw colour, still sparkling, taste of Madeira

Not a lot of complexity, but surprisingly fresh and almost like apple pie. The bubbles are still there but disappears almost instantly.

Doften är härligt tobakig, mogna genomutvecklade lätt söta äpplen åt gul-röda hållet - med tid även den typiska Meunier-indikatorn blåbär.
Verkligt fyllig i smaken, lätt-lätt Sherryton, cola, röda mogna äpplen, mogen men substans, dammig, tätt oxidativa toner
87 - men drick typ nu.

Younger and fresher than the first bottle and therefore also less interesting.

Vin I Nord Fine Wine Fall BYO; 10/28/2017-10/29/2017 (Tord Marius): Golden yellow to amber with a mature and welcoming look. Nose with ripe fruit tones and ox. Poor palate with dead fruit, no effervecense and a bad finish. The wine is over the top or oxidised.

Tasting: Wow! This is not for the fainthearted. Very complex, very mature, with depth, apples, smoke, mushrooms, brandy and so on. Still quite alive.
