Big black fruit, delicious, with a persistent savory finish. This has lots of time left to drink it. 3 to 5 more years, I’d say, but drinking great now.

The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like prune, fig and light toast. It tastes like raspberry and red currant. The body is medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

A heavyweight of a Rhone ranger, but with an excellent fruit core and well crafted indeed. I kept on thinking "bluberry buckle" ascI drank it, the sweet vaniila cobbler flavor of the dark monster was so nicely rewarding. I used to think these win s could be drunk in the first few years after bottling, now I'm rethinking that a minimum of four years is needed for best returns.

Served at the ORD Polaris lounge. Big juicy blueberries, a pile of oak, and none of the peppery stuff. Makes me wish I was drinking a N. Rhone red, but totally quaffable. Will certainly do its part in helping to put me asleep on this overnight flight.

Very good to excellent syrah. Was ready to go on 12/30/16. Opened up a bit in glass, but big fruit, some spice, held up well with the morrocan food meal. I was surprised with how good it was.

Ready to go almost from pop and pour. Big, ripe fruits, bordering on sweet, but balanced with some acidity and pepper spice. Enough complexity to keep it interesting, but overall a good quaffer. Great example of a south coast warm climate Syrah. Drink now

Good full body red. Plenty of fruit and bark. Palate is dense but not overwhelming and has a nice finish. Good value and great with a variety of foods.

Intense robitussin dark black cherry blackberry. Intense dark fruit. Red cherry. Slight black pepper. Eucalyptus menthol. Fruit driven, clean, no earth.
Palate: Full bodied, high 14.5% Alcohol (Correct) Oak: clear oak, but well-integrated toast and cardamom, vanilla clove nutmeg. French - new oak, 100%, for at least 18 months. Acid is Dry, fruit-forward, significant oak. Tannins: Medium plus, plush, rounded tannins. Satisfyingly grippy and a bit oaky. Expensive oak - maybe french oak. (WOW I was off).
What is this? Malbec - high end, argentina. Shiraz, Australia.
I don’t see David Glancy’s pyrazine call. I’m going: Barossa Shiraz, 2012, Australia.
Tensley Syrah from Santa Barbara. Aged in Neutral Oak. ! ~$28

yes, violets, anise and pepper on the nose show a promising introduction, great fragrance, intense with good energy, verve, brightness within the darkness, this is a solid Syrah, blackberry, ripe plums, earth, liquorish and nutty nuances, long finish, complex, juicy, Northern Rhone meets California in full blast, great job, Tensley

Remains a very big, blue fruit and alcohol filled baby, but it is starting to settle down more than it was 4-5 months ago. At least the tannins are starting to become approachable. Still needs another two years for so.

Opaque core with violet rim; after 1.5 hours of air the nose screams of Syrah, bright violets, black pepper, wild purple berry, plum skin, black olive lurking in the back; plush texture, light on its feet, medium body, juicy, fresh for its larger scale, red apple skin, black olive; decant if you open now but I feel this wine should be enjoyed with 5-7 years max as the black olive may get a little screechy if you wait too long; Northern Rhone styled but very Californian.

Bold, with blueberry and blackberry cobbler notes. Used this as an example of well done "fruit bomb" at a wine tasting and it certainly is one

Fresh acidity, new world big red fruit. Probably best young, not as structured as the Tensley single vineyards it seems.
