Not worth the money even though it is very cheap for a Barbaresco. Light on the fruit, simple without much structure. Good $10 table wine for a weeknight, but lacking any character and certainly does not resemble Barbaresco.

Soft and subtle red berry with some earth, dry hay, and black tea. Not much intensity, but tastes pretty good for an 11 year old wine. Not overly exciting, but delivers well above the price point. Drink now or over the next few years.

Bought from Trader Joe's. This is really cheap for a Barbaresco Riserva. Sweet nose of ripe berries with a nice acidic backbone but not overwhelming. Not a serious wine but enjoyable to drink right now especially with the price! I will buy some more of these.

Delicious with a well marbled strip steak cooked perfectly to what Argentinians would call "cocido," basically what we would call medium. Nice and dry. Well aged. Soft tannins from age. Brown colour, also from age (normal). The next day, the perfect sipping accompaniment to a delicious, rich Davidoff cigarillo outside in the back yard on a pleasant evening with the warm sun shining on my face and a cool breeze. The perfect Spring evening! Cost $20. May buy again when I want an aged, but affordable, red, or when I want a reasonably good Barbaresco to go with a meal or a cigar. Overall value: 4 stars of 5.

With risotto when I had a cold coming on, and I could still smell this from a mile away. This had that sweet red currant and roses aroma with just a hint of the secondary medicinal scent that nebbiolo can get over time. Not the most complex Barbaresco, but pretty stunning deal for $20. Last May in Piedmont I saw some of the TJ brand Barolo (the Rocco del Olmo) aging in a very prestigious winery, so I am intrigued by the idea of where this could really be coming from. It's not great cru level stuff, but for the price of a Langhe Nebbiolo (or less), you could quaff this really often while you wait for your serious Barolo and Barbaresco to hit their peaks. Enough acid and tannin to hang on for quite a while longer.

Medium red appearing very youthful. Seems to have been bottled recently as the cork showed little coloration. Pretty nose and flavors but without the intensity one might expect from a Barbaresco. While a nice little wine, it's hard to believe it's an '04 Barbaresco. Either it's not what it says it is or the wine's been stored in stainless for a long time. Made by the large Barolo-based co-op Terre da Vino. $15 for the wine + $5 for the label @ Trader Joe's.

Delicious with taquitos. Surprisingly tannic for its age. I intend to buy it again. A bargain given how nicely aged it is. $20. Overall value: 4 stars of 5.

In a good place. Dried cherries, plums, new leather, pencil shavings, and roses on a red fruit and earth background. Broad and long, precise and linear, showing an attractive streak of crushed rock minerality on the palate. Long finish. 88+

Little fruit and spice on nose but very very light on palate to the point where it tastes cheap.

Opened but didn't get to it day one. Got to it in day 2 & 3 and it definitely faded fast. I wouldn't repurchase it.
