Refreshing for the few hot days in Juneau. Nose of evergreen and lemongrass. Some of the evergreen carries into the flavor with a very slightly creamy texture that tones down the astringency. A tart wine that is not overbearing.

Bought on clearance for $8 Have had their regular bottling so thought I'd try. Nice wine a little more balanced and smooth as others mentioned maybe cause it's got a few years on it. It's not so in your face as typical NZ Sauv Blanc but comes through with citrus lemongrass and a little spice. Don't know if it will hold too long but gonna go see if any left.

On the nose has a strong pepper (jalapeño was listed by another reviewer and that nail it). Palate lemon and peach to start but moves to the peppers which linger too long
We tried side by side w 2016 Nobilo regional collection and much preferred the other.
Still drinkable, not likely to improve

Pale, straw color w/ excellent clarity; aromas of grapefruit, peach, & wet stone; subtle flavors of grapefruit, peaches, golden delicious apples, & stone; very well balanced, not as fruit-forward or in-your-face as many NZ Sauvignon Blancs; clean, refreshing finish.

Medium yellow color. Tons of lemongrass aromas, with limes and grapefruit pith, white pepper and sliced jalapeno. More texture on the palate and more precise acidity and flavors than the Regional Collection. This is fresh and vibrant with its grapefruit, tangerine and lime flavors. Elements of floral perfume, sea salt, white pepper and sliced jalapeno add complexity. A zesty, pithy finish. Very tasty. The fruit for this higher tier wine comes from the Castle Cliffs vineyard in the Awatere Valley.

Pale, almost clear in color with a slight touch of gold. Forward and attractive nose of citrus notes of lemon zest, grapefruit & guava, floral notes, with hints of lemongrass & gooseberries, chalky & minerals. Light bodied with a good concentration of smooth textured & well balanced, ripe, zesty fruit flavors of lemons/limes, grapefruit & green apples with a hint of honey & minerals. Lingering crisp & dry finish. Drinks quite well at present. A very nice & enjoyable NZ SB; a good daily quaffer.

Pale yellow in color. Strong grapefruit and lemon zest on the nose with a touch of fresh mown lawn. Taste reflects strong grapefruit and lime with a slight touch of honey on the secondary palate. A nice NZ SB. Much better than the basic Nobilo SB.

NZ Grab Bag: Light gold color. Nose of guava, dried pineapple, grapefruit and white peach, hints of jalapeno pepper and sage. On the palate, this shows more creaminess and depth than the regional collection. Dry and clean with lime and grapefruit juice drizzled over papaya and guava, accented by white pepper and some wildflowers. A more complex example with a fresh and mouthwatering approach.

Sharp straw gold; light citrus, new mown hay nose; not over powering like some Marlborough SBs; mid-body; good acids; crisp citric finish. w/clams

Crisp with definite acidity, grapefruit flavor. A bit rough, sharp. I prefer a smoother SB.
