Pale, red cherry with serious brick, but not dead. Nose same, fragrant, mild, with forest floor, light cherry strawberry fruit. Light strawberry and red cherry fruit on the palate, decent long finish. Overall, a very interesting mature beaujolais. At end of life, but a very interesting wine for a Tuesday.

I think the last bottle was a fluke, because the long, chewy, finish is back, and the whole package seems more relaxed, fruitier, and rounder. Very Good+.

Interestingly, I lost this in the cellar for many several more years than intended. Still somewhat rustic, lovely intense flowers and cranberry, though with a sadly short finish. Going strong, not browning at all that I can see. Very Good.

A subtle nose of dust and cherries. Medium red in the glass, no real evidence of age. Light, understated minerality and cherryberry on the palate, nicely balanced, with just enough lingering acidity to keep things interesting. Based on other notes, I think this one's on the downward slope. Drink up.

Cinnamon-kissed cherries, all very gently presented, on the nose, with round and (for the vintage) rich texture, with a finish that shows a well meshed structure. A success.

With herb and dijon mustard coated pork loin, garlic new potatoes, and some white beans with rosemary this was a perfect match. The wine is in a really good place right now, expressive with red cranberry cherry fruit, earth and a little herb. The acidity has softened a bunch and it is a pleasure to drink. Very good.

I was happy to find some more of these around for sale. Tonight's bottle was very good. Expressive nose, not at all closed. Still some of the crunchy 04 tart cranberry fruit, but quite a bit less than a bottle 8 months ago. Very bright, lively, nuances of earth and shading more towards black fruit more than red. More acidity than tannin in the structure. Delicious right now, should hold for some time. Interesting match with a Kalamata olive baguette and Morbier cheese. The olives seemed to accentuate the earthy aspect of the wine. Good stuff for $15.

Good Beaujolais. I haven't drunk these extensively, so my rating compares with reds generally. The nose was understated and somewhat citrus as mentioned by others. The intro was tart, though satisfactory, indicating it might do better after another year or more. The finish and after-finish improved with more complex fruit notes. Was much more pleasing with tomato based pasta entrees than as stand-alone. Was a bargain at Zachy's only $12 as a toss-in with the rest of my order.

Med ruby, sweet berry, minerals, grass, pepper, citrus, sour cherry, b4, a2, t3, full body, sweet fruit, good structure, mineral tones, very tasty, best of this style (so far)

The nose was wonderful right out the bottle. Dark raspberry fruit and wet stone minerals. The palate seemed a little compressed. Nothing more time shouldn't fix. We enjoyed it anyway, but I will hold further bottles for a bit.

Pretty tasty. Light, almost delicate, a little minerally, some dark fruit, maybe a few mothballs. I can see that this might be better tomorrow, or in a few years, but unfortunately we didn't wait. A little pricey (over $20 here in Michigan) but pretty good even at that.

Tasted side by side with the 2004 Lapalu Brouilly Vieilles Vignes (see TN). The Roilette has less ripeness. On the nose, rather high-pitched, diffuse red fruit, with a faint citrus note. On the palate, dusty red cherry fruit, a touch of smoke and rather pronounced acidity.

the first night this was thin and quite unremarkable, the second night this had filled out considerably, still light though, with cherry fruit on the nose and juicy, soft cherry, ripe strawberry and plum fruit on the palate. Hope that this develops some complexity with age - for now it's a light, easy drinking mid-week wine. Cannot complain for $14.

The K&L guy (a French Canadian) thinks this will be ready in 2-3 years. I'll see what happens to the two bottles I bought. Three years, that long I don't mind waiting.

Took 3 days for this to find its form, and then it went from strangely good to wonderful. Crisp, mineral gamay fruit came to the fore leaving the slight geranium thing behind.

A little muted compared to about a year ago. Balance is still dead on, but it's a bit less lively and flavors are more downbeat.
