Deep red, purple tinge, slightly clouded. Brooding, black cherry, earthy spice of cedar, some cranberry and leather on finish, a whiff of tannin to suggest continued aging could mellow the wine.
Day 2 (resealed in half-bottle in cellar) and the wine had more red fruit, and the slightly harsher elements had softened. More enjoyable, although a tad less complex.

In the glass, this is a maroon and light violet. The nose is soft but very cheerful, hint of strawberry. The mouthfeel is also still subtle but still very present, the strawberry is still there, little notes of forest floor, and a hint of white pepper on a moderate finish. Paired perfectly with a pan seared salmon and wild rice.

This was very pretty tonight with lots of soft, velvety red fruit, some subtle Asian spice notes, earthy undertones and abit of black pepper on the long finish. Drinking well almost immediately after opening.

Crimson color. Bright maraschino cherry, cranberry, sandal wood, caramel and a bit too much alcohol on the nose; tart black cherry on the palate and finish. Thin and watery across the palate - headed toward cooked or always this way? Campbell Ranch seems to be a one-off in the Sojourn Rota; maybe this vintage is the reason?
Aerated and decanted for 45 minutes. Lots of red fruit, especially raspberry and cherry with moderate tannin and spice notes. Wish I had another bottle.

Very tasty. Light to medium ruby red in the glass. Odd and mild chemical nose (really hard to identify). Bright pomegranate, strawberry, and rhubarb flavors. Some persistence in the mouth. Lots going on in the glass.

Opened and decanted for an hour. This wine is drinking wonderfully now. Smooth and even all the way through, I got notes of plenty of mixed berries on the nose. The mouthfeel was light and airy and full of raspberry and toasted vanilla. I thought this can work on its own or with a meal and would love to acquire another bottle.

Fits firmly in the Sojourn style: cranberry, sandalwood and sassafras on the nose; tart cherry, black tea and sour cranberry on the palate and finish. Very good value, especially with the Costco discount.

extremely fragrant upon opening, decanted for a couple hours, very standout red and blue fruits and flowers on the nose, creamy mouthfeel, fine tannins, raspberry, red licorice, and cherry pits fill in on the palate, fully loaded with a wide spectrum of fresh red fruit, delicious

Bright ruby in color. The Campbell Ranch Vineyard packs that outstanding Sojourn bouquet of earth, raspberry and cinnamon. The mouthfeel is silky smooth and the palate delivers raspberry, strawberry, baking spice, green apple and some tropical pineapple. The acid is on the subtle end for a Sojourn Pinot Noir and the finish is nice and long with cinnamon and a hint of cranberry. This is phenomenal.

It's no secret that I've been a fan of Sojourn for a number of years. My last experience with the '13 Wohler was fine, but not exceptional. Well, I can't say the same for the Campbell. This was ready to drink after popping the cork. The nose was incredible. The first taste showed cherries, and it was ready to go. This is a somewhat darker pinot noir. It's smooth and subtle, but not dainty. As we approached the 90 minute mark, this wine was really opening up; but alas, the bottle was now empty. Dinner with Janet and Lew (another Sojourn fan). This was perfect with salmon in a light mustard sauce. FYI, I thought this was/is the best of the '13's. I can only imagine how this will taste with a few years of age! Drink or hold.
Smooth raspberry, strawberry, and red fruit with underlying forest floor. More elegant than powerful and lighter styled than some of the other Sojourn offerings in the fall release.

I recently consumed all three 2015 SC SVDs. My first thought was this wine tasted very Sonoma Coast. Had the Thanksgiving baking spice profile. Also had that musty earth and forest floor aspects to it, some barnyard. Of the three SC Pinots, this one had more of the herbal notes, forest, pine, some “greenness” to it. But also had some sweet cherry. As it sat, more dried cherry came through. This wine, of the three SCs, seems already the most integrated.

Pop and pour. Significant bricking at the edges. This is ready to drink now. Starts out full of red fruit (primarily strawberry with raspberry and cherry) with earth integrated towards the finish. Alcohol becomes a little bit more prominent with air. My favorite SVD of the fall release as of tonight.

Nose of bright bing cherries, palate shows a super elegant styled Pinot with notes of sarsaparilla and cherries; Pure and beautifully textured, this is bold and powerful with some darker fruits emerging along the way The acidity is a wee-bit high on this but detraction is small and yes, it's young. Finish remains pure and is long. Food did not play as well with this as I thought it would. A very nice bottle on my number two on the night.

Nice, but turning the corner on slightly stewy notes, which I don’t prefer. My last bottle, but if I had more I’d drink them up now.

West of West NYC - short notes from the tasting (City Winery - New York City): Much leaner than the Ridgetop tasted before this. Cherry, plums, spice and earth. Nice but not as complex, will drink well for 5-7 years
