Was not disappointed. After cellaring for five years, decanted 3L bottle at least an hour before party. Delicious. Would have been interested to taste if it was decanted for at least two or more hours.

Very good. Mid-purple color with slow thin legs. Syrupy on the nose. Very Syrah-like in my opinion; not what I like in a cab. Even after decanting and drinking over three hours, it never seemed to turn the corner. Had previously had in a restaurant (not sure what year) and enjoyed much more.

This wine was decanted for 2+ hours allowing it to "unwind." It was consumed over the next two hours. My wife is the true cabernet critic in the family and her comment was this was a step above what we had been drinking regularly. Well balanced from start to finish, this was a solid, drinkable and enjoyable Sonoma cabernet. We've always had good success aging Arrowood red wines for extended periods.

Nicely balanced, no frills cabernet that displays remarkable poise throughout. The mellow bouquet is chalky in nature, with savory aromas of mushroom and brighter notes of mint that complement the blue/black fruit. The plate is medium-bodied and silky smooth with classic characteristics of blackcurrant, damp forest floor and violets that suggest more of a Bordeaux nature.

A bit heavy on the burnt tobacco and smoked meat notes with a fairly dominating tartness that obscured the fruit for me. Not bad but not especially balanced.

PNP, this has an open nose of bright red fruit, earth, and herbs. A tangy acidic wine on the palate with black cherries, plum, earth, cocoa and some drying tannins on the backside. I think 6 more months of sleep and this is even more enjoyable.

Blind Cali Cabs & Merlots: Vibrant ruby purple color. Aromas of bright currants and red cherries, some darker berry elements as well, but all the fruit is tangy and alive, backed up by notes of roses, vanilla, charcoal and tobacco. Tangy acid and medium strength tannins provide a good frame for the red and black cherries and tart plum fruit. A clean and bright wine with notes of charcoal, espresso, violets and vanilla add complexity. Really silky and pretty on the finish. Drinking well right now but could develop with some near-term cellaring. Aged 25 months in French and American oak, includes 4% Merlot and 1% Petite Verdot.

Dark red. Nose of plum cherry, dried cherries and a bit of vanilla. Full bodied, plush with tasty dried cherry, oak and some savoury. Unfortunately it is rather short on acid and one tires after a glass.

Meilleure que la dernière fois. J'ai bu un Caymus 40e anniversaire lendemain et l'Arrowood était nettement mieux.

lean & herbal. Interesting wine, nice flavors, and the balance is good for the vintage. finish is modest.
