Warm orange/garnet in the glass. Spice, forest floor, leather, and some cherry on the nose. Fruit, spices, tea, and tobacco on a smooth palate with soft dusty tannins on the finish. Not complex. Lighter than anticipated. It's a nice food wine and went well with our meal of breaded chicken cutlets and an Italian salad. It developed further over the course of the evening so I believe this wine still has some life left.

Very nice bottle - hit the stride after 2 hours in the glass. On the elegant, suave side of Brunellos, stylish with grip and refined tannins. Lovely scents of red cherries, mushrooms and green tea. Sweet cherries, sage, some citrus, fennel and lapsang-suchong on the palate. Can probably develop even more tertiary notes but delicious now.

Medium garnet. The darker shades of brunello here. Nose of tuscan spice, forest floor, leather; on the palate silky, dark, with a ripe sweetness balanced with acidity; soft dusty tannins on the finish. Paired beautifully w chicken parm. Got this from WTSO back in the days when they actually had a decent wine every now and then.

Damn 2010 was a good year. About as much as you could expect for a $40 bottle of BdM. Great typicity. Dry up front with a nice finish, including lovely savory notes of tobacco/shoe leather. Delicious.
Medium garnet. Well integrated toasty oak with classic sangio aromatics of cherry, leather etc and a faint mustard note. Silky, classy, elegant mouthfeel with energetic acidity, and fine tannins anchoring a nice, long finish. Polished, modern approach.

On day one: Not as good as the last bottle. This time the tannins tasted somewhat bitter with less fruit. Cannot imagine this would be fading already. Maybe just in an awkward phase - very odd.
By day three: this took forever to open up. Would wait a long time before opening any other bottles!

An impressive effort, and consistent from this producer. Generous layers of fruit & earth; with dried cherry & rose petal, ash, leather, & vanilla. Everything is tightly woven together, velvety on the palate, and the tannin is well integrated but present enough that this will hold for quite some time. This wine will unwind a little more, and only get better.

Forest and earth belie the cherry peaking thru. Has a great frame and I have high expectations. Give it a couple of years.

Not as complex or deep as I had hoped for. Quite straightforward, lacking a bit of depth and mysterious zip and zap

Pleasant Brunello. Not too dry, which we like

Seems to be ready to drink. Darker spectrum of fruit together with spices, tobacco and truffle. Will live for many more years.

Delicious.
Black cherry, plums, a hint of chocolate, baking spices. Big tannins.
Can drink now but will go one for a few years.

Restrained with red berries, plum and earthy notes. Wait 5 years and this one will shine.

Very nice though still a bit restrained. Tannins are firm but integrating well. Solid.

Very enjoyable. Maybe a little too smooth for a Brunello - it didn't have the typical funkiness that I like. But it was very good.
