I will adjust this note accordingly but this is intensely primary and restrained at the moment. The nose is enchantingly dominated by rose petals, while the palette contains an intense concentration of black berry and violet. Tannins are not fully integrated. HOLD.

Muted nose, very balanced and sleek on the palate. Primary but immensely drinkable, though it will continue to improve with age. Well-made, though one dining companion thought it was a little too "new world' in how easily it drank. Wish the nose was more expressive; decanting may have helped with that.

A Burgundy night at the hipster quarter (Nobbi Müller Burgunder& Süßweine, Hamburg): Lucious fragrance of ripe black berry, great depth on the midpalate, young therefore strong but ripe tannin, enormous persistence with layered flavours of berry, violet and herbs, ending dense but silky in an impressive long+ finish, very tasty now but will definetly benefit from a decade+ in the cellar, *(***+),92-95+?

De Chambolle à Morey - Grands Jours de Bourgogne: Tasting, brief note. Great aromas showing black berries, savory spice. Similar flavors, just slightly more restrained with moderate depth. This is good+ for its level, also 92-93 point potential and should well young for its level, probably as early as 2022.

Knightsbridge Annual Holiday Burgundy/Champagne Tasting and Sale (Northbrook, IL): Tasting, brief note. Lots of black berries with roasted meat and savory spice. Ripe start, more firm finish for now, patience required, 92-93 point potential.

Scent of red fruits, strawberries. Elegant. Fine tannins. Big step up from his other wines.
