Golden, viscous color. Peach, yellow apple, almond paste and spice on the nose and palate. Medium-weight owing mostly to the oak. Round finish. Agree with those that thought this vintage was somewhat muted, and missing the citrus and tropical fruit notes. Drink up.

Quite an interesting expression. Not sure how much longer this one will go. I was getting a cotton candy note on the nose. I dare say I was getting some mushroom here. Palate of aged melon on the front. Rounded front with malolactic type body and guava/mango finish. Nice expression of Heintz. I have been exposed to lots of Heintz wines and this seems to be a lot less Heintz-ish than others I have had. A cool bottle nevertheless!!

Aromas of lemon meringue, papaya, banana, lime and touch of mineral. Flavors of papaya, mango, lemon pie, banana and bit of mineral near the end. Ends with a tropical fruit infused finish of about 40 seconds. This is always the most full blown Chardonnay of the Williams Selyem lineup. Drinking fantastic right now. Going to pair well with the lobster!

First time I've had this where I wasn't wowed. Wasn't off, but the fruit just wasn't the typical tropical, lush flavors with custard. This just was more muted. Acidity and alcohol were both good, but wasn't impressed.

Fantastic acidity and balance. I must agree with the other reviewers that WS Chardonnay is far superior to their Pinot attempts. Crisp and a delight to drink. I doubt aging it further will improve it and it might have been better younger. My experience is these wines crash with too much age. Atypical RRV CA Chardonnay,so if you are looking for a fruity, vanilla oak bomb, with forward fruit and no bite on the finish you will not be entirely pleased.

PnP. Delightfully good. Some stone fruit and citrus on the nose. These follow on to the palate with good acidity. The oak has fully integrated yielding a medium+ bodied, crisp chardonnay. Good, but with a questionable QPR at $55. Should hold for a couple more years.

PnP, chilled. Clear, pale yellow color. Very expressive with massive acid and sharp/tart fruit. Some oak/vanilla. This is young yet and although certainly drinkable now, should benefit with a bit more time. Full body and big intensity, clean, bright, powerful. Classic big RR Chard. Nothing off. $59

Absolutely wonderful! I've come the conclusion that after being on their allocation list for 15 years, the Chardonnays are their best wines. Heinz ihas more citrus than the other offerings and when spot on are so great, complex from bouquet though a long finish. The oak and butter are in perfect balance with the pineapple and grapefruit. Incredibly food friendly too. At $50+ it's equally in the same league or better than the more expensive Rameys, Auberts, Kistlers. Morlets, etal.

Tight, with vibrant acidity initially; starts revealing more jackfruit on the palate and popcorn caramel notes on the finish about 20 minutes in. Two hours later it got more approachable, though still with relatively very high acidity, and more than 24 hours later (after sitting in a covered glass) it was still drinking alright. I'd say wait till 2019+ if you can.

have gotten to the point where im tired of this overoaked butter bomb style. this was really lacking for me. too much bubblegum juicy fruit and cotton candy.

plenty of citrus and a little oak/mineral; bright, but not sophisticated...Kinda like a new graduate from UCBerkeley. Not a put down, as that was how I was when I graduated from there.....and the cost of a bottle of this would have paid a quarter's tuition back then.

Golden yellow, with Acid minus. Round, but no focus of flavors.
