With the sunny day, decided to open up a rose. This has some delicious strawberry fruit, but with a delicious citrusy tang. It has a lovely acidity which really makes it sing, but there is a good balance between fruit and acidity and a nice finish. Yum.

Glassy aromas of melon rind, unripe berry, with nuances of rosemary, rose petals, mint and tarragon. Palate follows with notes of strawberry, melon rind, focused acidity, lingering hints of floral notes and nuances of herbal complexity.

I like this even more than the 13, which I wasn't expecting. This has a little more fruit, and delicious red and orange fruit it is, paired with a zippy (but not without body) white-wine-like character, this is flavor dense and full of energy and authority. A whole lot of wine for $15-16.

Served at Terry Theise wine dinner at Winds, Yellow Springs, OH.
More brilliant and positively pinker than the Prieler vom Stein of the same year; reduced when tasted from the Impitoyable but this disappears when tasted from a standard white wine glass, smells like a bubbly with subtle yeastiness; very dry and juicy. Develops juiciness and minerality on the finish. Excellent with food (Asparagus and Soft egg with morels).

UNP. strawberry and peach blossom dominate the nose. this is a little spritzy and sharp and benefits from an aggressive decant. swishing shows tart citrus bordering on sharp, leading to a fairly linear tart strawberry finish. sipping mutes the acid but like vintages before this will not please those averse to acid.

Nice acidity, nice minerality. Nice watermelon and strawberry. Went really well with salmon burgers.

Nose of melon and crushed rock. Flavors of wild berry and stone are supported by intense acidity. Fun, crisp, light. The acid is addictive. Drink now.

Nose of strawberries, white flowers, and white pepper. Crisp and focused in the mouth. Nice acidity but as often wish it there were more. Drink now.
