Still going strong ...... I get the comments that keep this from being higher rated but it's very well made wine and it has generally received very positive responses from those I have served it to.... This has a couple of years left. Very enjoyable (though I can think if several Puligny's I'd choose over this at this price point)..

Very light yellow with a clear rim. This is showing aromas of pineapple, pear, white flowers and orange rind. It is quite full and viscous on the palate, with citrus fruits and tropical notes in evidence. There is also good length and persistence, and (just) adequate acidity. Drink now and over the next 2-3 years. An enjoyable Chardonnay, even more so if you like things on the riper side of the spectrum. 14.1% ABV. 90.

My wife called Jura Chardonnay. I didn't think it was that funky (not that all Jura Chardonnays are, but I think that's what she was getting at), but it did have just enough freshness. Still a rather broad expression of Chardonnay, but very well done. A great deal for under $50 from a Zachy's sale.

HDH Holiday Wine Tasting (HDH Offices - Chicago IL): Tasting, brief note. Floral start with intense tropical aromas that I like a lot. Same flavor profile but a bit too tropical and with some heat on finish that I didn't like quite as much.

HDH holiday tasting (Chicago, IL): Why was this sweeter than a 2009 JJ Prum Spatlese? "If you were a dessert, what kind of dessert would you be?" "Oh, um, I dunno, I guess I'd be a stick of butter mixed with a pound of sugar." While this might sound like a good thing, it is not, when the label says "chardonnay".
Balanced, not as large scaled as a Kistler but no mistaking this for a white Burg either. Reminds me a lot of Ramey's Chards but comes at $5-$15 premium in comparison. Vanilla, oak spice, tangerine and other citrus / tropical flavors. Like most CA Chards could use a little more acid. Very nice but not a bargain at the $70. I'd buy Ramey instead.

At a White Horse Tavern in the north country: I actually guessed this to be an American, despite the civilized setting, but there are the hints of tropical fruit, that gives it away; otherwise the style is Burgundian indeed, it is but rich and in harmony with note of citrus, minerals and quite the elegant structure, en danseuse, almost.

Light yellow to yellow color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of paraffin, brandy soaked pears and lemon zest. Flavors of lemon, yellow pears, vanilla and creme. Medium acidity, full bodied. Drink or hold.

'Nothing but Chardonnay' dinner with Peter Rosback: Deep gold colour. Sadly, this wine was corked, with the TCA overpowering the spiciness on bouquet. The wine seemed a buttery, big scaled Chardonnay with a quite sweet entry and reasonable acidity. However, the TCA made it impossible to draw any definitive conclusions. 3/3.

Loads of vanilla. Almost sweet, demi sec type of Chardonnay. Very fruity. Not sure what I think really.

Oakey and salty butter, but not over the top. This was well balanced with lively acidity and a salty mouth watering finish.

Oak and butter cream, lemon citrus, very pleasant drinking wine if you like this style. Well made.

Oak, butter cream, initial thrust of lemon, if you like this style it drinks very well.

Pale yellow green; good depth on nose, lemon, candle wax, crisp, almost mineral; great acid for a larger scaled Chard, good nobility; nice.

At the winery. A terrific wine--beautiful aromatics, rich fruit, balanced. I'm putting mine down for a while.
