Really good, and not even close to done. In fact a few more years would probably do some good, but we won't know. Not too complex, but a little mushroomy, sweet strawberries, just really drinkable.

Boy was this good. Awesome QPR considering it wasn't much over $20 5 or so years ago. Spicy, balanced, sort of earthy undertones, really couldn't ask for more and am kicking myself for not having bought a case when I had the chance. I had at least one more bottle to see if it would improve but all I know, and will ever know, is that it is drinking really well now.

Five years since my last note on this one, and its still a very nice bottle. Not as bright and lively as the 2006 note, but still very aromatic, having carried its fruit nicely and developing secondary elements, the earthiness and mild spice being a bit more prominent. Its not going going to improve, but in a very enjoyable place now--no rush on the remaining 3 bottles.

13% alcohol... The nose is exquisite, wet black earth, lovely notes of strawberry... Great acidity, what I like most about this wine is the earth component, subtle fruit in the background - classic, classic Burgundy. Very nice.

Cherry liquor, rose petals, mushroom broth, and the faintest hint of barnyard in the nose. Nice silky palate, mix of red and black fruits. About a year ago this seemed firm and even a little angry, but the acidity seems to have settled down and it is very good right now. A great match with chicken seasoned with rosemary and dijon mustard and a side of brown rice with porcinis. Not as much forward fruit or brown spice as the 05 Cuvee Gravel shows right now. A fine Bourgogne.

Low tannins and sour cherry notes. Seems to be a great example of what a Pinot Noir should be, although we're not Pinot Noir fans. Yet very much enjoyed drinking and pairing with salmon en provencal dish.

Whoooo hoo, this is more like it. Pure, clean ,and tasty; black cherry fruit framed by rocks/flint and a light hint of moss. Delicious lighter-weight Burg that is quite pleasing. This is $20 now, so not the bargain of yestervintages, but worth the tariff

What a pretty, lively example of pinot noir. Pale ruby in the glass, bright red fruit with a solid layer of earthiness/minerality underneath. Med-bodied, not complex or layered, but very juicy, defined and focused, a great value at under $20.

Red and black cherry fruit, some earth and a little pepper. Structured and nicely ripe, I can't see any trace of the green some keep finding in 2004s.
