Looks nice enough, more of an aggressive rather than refined Bordeaux nose with loads of earth dark plum and cherry fruit. Palate is delicious though, ripe and juicy with crisp blackcurrant and plum fruit, firm dry tannins and a long juicy aftertaste. A really nice food wine. Probably lacked enough complexity to be rated high but this is a very tasty meal accompaniment and drinking well now.

moderate depth of color with ruby rim. aromatically right in between being primarily fruit driven and having some tertiary notes... floral red and dark fruits, barrique spice and cedar, some earthy, soil notes. on the palate high acids, moderate depth and palate weight, firm tannins that are of low to moderate ripeness, low to moderate alcohol. wine has a ton of balance, ok length, good intensity and complexity. plenty of finesse, a fine texture, and very good expression of place. drinks well now but will continue to improve in the next 3-5 years. well made, classically styled bordeaux without a ton of intensity and depth.

A very nice traditionally styled Bordeaux. Medium body with dark fruit flavors combined with a touch of cedar and tobacco. Ready to drink and an excellent value.

Brought to Russ and Kate’s house. Really nice. Started out with a plastic nose (is that reduction?) that blew off after thirty mins. It evolved and was a fan favorite showing great balance of tertiary and dark fruit with acidity. Lovely Bordeaux that improved with time open.

Decanted 30+ minutes. Dark garnet. Strong aromas of ripe plums, earth, toasty oak, and a bit of cocoa and peppercorns - owing much to the 65% Merlot. The 35% cabernet seems to come to the front on the palate with blackberry, cassis, graphite and a little fig. Nice integration - this feels like it is just arriving at an ideal drinking plateau but has the stuffing to deliver pleasure for 5-10 years. 91+

Muted nose of dark fruit. Deep purple color. The tannins and acidity are still fairly pronounced for a 10 year old wine. Flavors of cassis, fig, dark cherry, and a touch of vanilla dominate. Some secondary flavors of pencil shavings and tobacco are subtly emerging. A pleasure to drink now for the fruit, but there is at least another 10 years of evolution ahead. Very good value from an excellent Chateaux.

Pencil shavings, leather, green peppercorns, cassis, fennel. Despite being soft on the attack there are sneaky tannins on the back end. The fruit is a little shy but everything is well integrated. Tasty stuff

Bordeaux Confidential USA, nose of cherry, plum fruit, touch of cigar box, more of the same on the palate, slightly astringent on the mid palate, full bodied for a second wine, fruit forward, tasty, touch simple, to me the best of the three wines from this Chateau today.

Good, classic, middle aged Bordeaux. Still got a fair amount of tannin and definitely on the more savoury and tannic end of the spectrum.

this seems pretty much ready to go. A nice quaff, not complex, but showing some nose and Bordeaux character

Very good traditional Bordeaux. Really opened up after An hour. Cassis and plum on the nose and palate. Long, silky finish. Outstanding.

Medium to full body. Rich mouthfeel of dark fruit and heavy earthiness. Balanced acidity, moderate tannins, and a smooth finish.
