Floral nose; dark, and dry spice on the palate; nice tannins on a medium length finish.Agree with Rich’s comments about the effects of its age. Paired nicely with pad thi. Wife preferred the 2019 vintage with was a bit brighter.

Light yellow. Very dry- hints of apricot, honeysuckle. Wasn’t particularly identifiable as gewurtztraminer- I prefer a richer, more opulent style. Nevertheless satisfying, a decent qpr that paired well with food.

Good enough, but I prefer the varietal from Alsace. Has honeysuckle and some lychee flavors. Good acidity, somewhat long finish. A nice effort, but not my favorite.

This has improved since my last note 18 months ago. Nice floral nose. A hint of sweetness. No oak. A pleasant wine to start a BBQ with Joe and Roberta.

Light gold colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like honeysuckle, nutmeg, almond, and oak. Palate follows the nose. The body is light with a linear texture. Finishes medium with medium acidity.

Seemed much better than the first bottle with more integration of the flavors. This won't be mistaken for an Alsatian wine, but it's pretty good none the less.

People who don't love Gewürztraminer need not apply. This is a full throttle, no apologies, dry Gewürztraminer, with a floral aroma, and a dry litchi palate. It is just lovely. A textbook example. But if you don't love Gewürztraminer as a grape, you are not going to like this because it's just too perfect typical of the varietal. I loved it.

I'm actually a fan of the varietal in general so I guess you can take this with a grain of salt.....but hot damn has this turned into an awesome, awesome wine.
Insane aromatics of spice and flowers, with much of the same on the palate, but with an added bit of "soap-i-ness" (no proper way to spell this) on the palate/mouthfeel. Yeah, that probably doesn't sound enjoyable....but it really is in this case, and adds a ton of complexity to the wine that pushes it to the next level.
3rd one I've had over the past 6 months and easily the best. Wish I had more than 2 left to follow over the next 8 years.
Even if you don't drink a ton of whites....don't overlook them from Bedrock (or Carlisle). IMHO, well worth the minor tariff they command.

Drank with sushi and was very pleasant as I don't normally enjoy Gewurz. Purchased this for my wife initially. I thought this was fresh and had a lot of tropical notes, not sweet at all, dryer than other Gewurz I've had in the past.
Served chilled and PnP.

I think Morgan's "perfume dragon" note pretty much sums this one up. Not much in the way of typical gewurz notes, very floral with a hint of tropical fruit. Not quite my cup of tea at the moment but I look forward to seeing where it goes with a bit more age.

Popped and poured at cellar temp. Very nice lite wine, a little of the typical Gewurtztraminer flavor but I would not have guessed it if blind. I wish I had bought more but think it will be better consumed in the next year or so rather than aging. Went well with turkey.

The Bedrock Alta Vista Gewürztraminer is from a dry-farmed vineyard around 1,000 feet in elevation on Moon Mountain. Served slightly chilled and PnP. The fruit notes, subtle papaya, quince (?), star fruit, are not as prominent as the textural qualities. I anticipated a spicy apple cider zippiness, as found in many Gewürzt wines. Instead, I detect a presence of a used oak/cream element in the mouthfeel of this Moon Mountain white.
The sister-in-law commented that this wine reminded her more of a classic California Chard than a refreshing, baking spice-tinged Gewürztraminer. This is not a bad thing; the wine was pleasant.
I suggest that you hold the '14 Alta Vista for six months more and see what happens.
It asserts a unique quality, a nobleness (if that makes sense) of posture, in its presentation of fruit. How this is embued in the wine, I do not know. It's an "I know it when I see it" experience.

Straw coloring, passion fruit, salt, good acidity. Dry, but seems to drink slightly sweet. Loads of fruit. Hard to put the glass down. Surprised about the lower CT scores. Should have bought more. Drink now. Popped and poured. Served cool.

Pale yellow. Light nose of raisins and rocks with a dry metallic edge. Nice dose of fruit on the palate, wide and layered, light supporting acids, medium finish. Inviting, thought provoking wine, would be great with charcuterie. 50 + 15 + 15 + 8.

Lovely perfume of gardenias, lychee, peach and citrus. Very dry on the palate with crisp, palate-cleansing acidity. Not a lot of depth, but enjoyable, fun and worked well with slightly spicy Asian cuisine.

This wine comes with the Bedrock pedigree; but with that said, I was disappointed. Nice floral nose. A hint of sweetness, and some oak (that spoiled this wine for me). Drank over the course of an hour at a bagels/lox brunch. My other bottle will be best served to non-geeks.

This is a very pure and delicate wine. Maybe we drank it too soon or it was still in bottle shock after a month's rest. There wasn't enough fruit for me to be excited about this wine relative to its French cousins.

Really good dry Gewurtz. Very floral and plenty of acidity. Feel like this is at peak, or maybe just past. Drink now and over the next year or two.

Nice riper style with white flowers, peach, lychee, cardamom, and ginger. Fruitier style, but a solid gewurz, and a fair price
