  • Voici le roí - 3227/12672. Open from pnp in Zalto Bordeaux just gorgeous ripe but not too much so, red fruited, nuance of rose pedals and rose water, deep and mineral, a pond you dive in and emerge coated in dark chocolate, roses and jasmine. The holy grail. Thankful for this open bottle. May shut down this didn’t yet. Wow!

  • Quite closed yet still exhibiting sexy and flirty sensation of coffee beans, roasted red fruit, spice and violets. Excellent weight and concentration. The 15s seems to have entered hibernation. 95-96 potential.

  • Premier Cru Table (The Fifth Avenue Hotel): 02254/12672. Somewhat closed compared to the Echezeaux on the side and the last bottle a few months ago. Lovely clarity and purity and better weight. 94+

  • Really good and up there for wine of the night honours. Complex aromatics of black cherry, spiced plum, camphor and smoked meats. Outstanding depth and chew. Rich and layered, builds then fans out. So much wine here.

  • Casual Sunday Dinner?: 01453/12672, blind. Four of us correctly identified the wine. Quite large, whole cluster, purple fruit, dark spice, some earthiness. Perhaps a heavier hitter on the palate and power than the 13 Richebourg magnum but less vibrant. Obviously GE from the same maker in an excellent vintage. 94

  • 我们喝到的时候已进行瓶醒3小时30分左右,嗅觉的前段有着具有冲击力、很丰富的深色的果味,大量的黑樱桃、桑葚和黑莓之类的黑果,在向后行进中交融在红樱桃之类的红果之中,还带着淡淡的梅子味。整体环绕着紫罗兰同玫瑰的芳香,蕴含着充沛的力量感和肌肉感,后段会出现些许木质风味、木质香料、皮毛和森林地表的意味。随着在杯中醒酒,前段的冲击力会减弱一些,变成从前段到中段的渐强,而后又减弱的构造,不再一味地“放”,而能收敛,整体也更为精细些,会出现一些干玫瑰花苞之类的香气,醒到后面则会浮现一丝檀香的意味。口感一开始也同嗅觉类似,在前段表现出很强的冲击力,整体结构大,单宁很多,表现硬朗,刚开始有颗粒感,慢慢会变得更细腻一些。果味同嗅觉类似,大量的红果和黑果,带着紫罗兰和玫瑰的味道宽广地在口腔里延展,颇为雄壮,有些硬直,后段有些动物皮毛、森林地表和野味。不过在杯中30分钟之后,口感就趋于整合了,重心同样从前段转移到中段,变得匀称而绅士,平衡而和谐,后段的森林气息中出现了些许檀木以及微微湿润的苔藓风味,收尾轻微的泥土和矿物中略带一丝温暖的木质香料味。96+/100

  • A stunning wine that was surprisingly singing. My handwritten notes mention rich round deep and long, a wow wine. Dense, refined, silky and very delicious. Wide open and showy yet retains exuberant youthful appeal and freshness. Highly drinkable, yet more nusnce will surely emerge with time. Bravo!

  • Aromas of cherry, strawberry, mushroom, earth and cinnamon. Flavors of cherry, strawberry, earth, mushroom and herb. Ends with a 40-45 second finish with cherry and strawberry notes. Just a baby.

  • Tasted over two days - and this is a majestic wine; intense, clean Pinot-fruit with immense elegance, albeit still very much a 2015 with it's quite concentrated. Like the perfect, powerfull sportsman with every muscle ready, every mucle tight - and everything in harmony.

  • Decanted and followed over 2 hours. Wine was drinking incredibly well out of the gate. Seemed very balanced for the age. Couldn’t understand why it was drinking so well but then was happy it was. Awesome stuff

  • 2015 Romanée Conti Vintage Horizontal: Most DRC 2015 reds were quite approachable, marked by intense, pure sweet red fruit and a treat to drink. The clear highlight was the unbelievable soft texture, the elegance with the natural hierarchy maintained: no other wine came even close to the play in the same league as the Romanée Conti, while the Corton and to some degree the RSV were good but without exceptionalism. Wine of the night was the Richebourg (97), which was the most complete and complex wine. Close second the Romanée Conti (96) which showed not as much aromatic greatness but was the silkiest and most elegant thing I‘ve probably ever had in my glass. The La Tâche and the RSV were both a bit muted and closed. Experienced wine lovers sitting next to me were very excited about the quality of the lineup („best young vintage since 99“, „so approachable, such a treat to drink“, „Echézeaux and Grands-Echézeaux were never remotely as good in the 20 years I do this tasting“).

    TN: Fresh red fruit, fresh strawberries, which became candied with more time in the glass; some apple (!?), a tad of sous bois. A liked the intense and precise nose a lot. The underlying structure was good with medium+ acidity and round but noticeable tannins, however, not nearly in the same league as the stunningly elegant Richebourg and Romanée Conti. Overall a good wine which seems to have the potential to become a 95/96+ wine one day.

    Decanting: Sat for 45 min in the glass, followed over three hours. Didn’t change a lot.

  • Dégustation Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Verticale 2015, avec Déjeuner (1243 Bourgogne Society - Beaune): Red and black cherry aromas with intense savory spice, coming across as slightly riper than Echezeaux, but already in better harmony. Very large-scaled with great concentration, but oddly enough this seems closer to a ready, complete wine already today.

  • Tasting with AdV. Brilliant red color. Nose of red berries and lots of spice. Red candt and loads of sweet scents and flavors. Ultra smooth palate with bursts of cherries, raspberries, dark fruit and hints wood spice and Asian spices. Obviously young but awesome juice.

  • Deep and dark, loaded with black cherries and blackberry. It had plenty of floral notes and outstanding mid-palate intensity. For its density and size it remains balanced and energetic the whole palate through.
