What great value with a decade or so of bottle age. Fantastic QPR. Drank most on Saturday - left the last glass sitting in the decanter and tasted epic 24 hours later - structured, balanced and delicious wine. Buy young, store & enjoy..

After a three hour decant this has come round in fine style. Has a certain bucolic rusticity with blueberries and scorched earth to the fore. Tannins are present and rather rugged, perfect for muting the fat on a punchy bbq lamb chop. I thought I'd caught my last bottle on a downward slope but this appears in fine fettle with plenty more left in the tank.

Drank over two nights alongside a Roberto Voerzio Langhe Nebbiolo from the same vintage and this was the darker and slightly richer of the two. My last bottle of this tasted a little cooked but this one was fine and drinking pretty well right now. Very nice and good value wine that partnered well with BBQ Sirloin steak.

On the evidence of this bottle, the wine is in its way out which is strange for a not particularly old Nebbiolo. Perhaps lacks structure. Tasted a little old and tired.

This last bottle sat for three years since the previous bottles we had, and it stood up very well. On opening, it was rather closed. Hours later it started to show both a richer nebbiolo nose and some serious palate details of earth, minerality, dark fruit and moderate tannic ending.

Rather deep red. Lifted, aromatic, chocolate and hazelnut on nose. Marzipan(?). Palate is not as expressive, but quite balanced. Tiny hints of age. Some acidity and tannin. The finish is a bit hot and bitter and trails off fast although the last note stayed with me for a few minutes. Drink or hold.
A lot going on considering how cheap this is.

Still life left in this for me but perhaps around it's peak now and for the next couple of years. Always good to tuck some of these away for a few years as they are inexpensive when young with great QPR especially when cellared for a while. Great with slow cooked Dexter beef.

Disappointing level of evolution vs last year's bottle - felt like the acidity was just as shrill but the aromatics were less evident. Still tasty after c. 15 minutes of air, and the acidity meant a good match for some BBQ tandoori lamb shoulder.

Plenty of air - around 3 hours. Lovely deep floral aroma in the glass. Drinking great right now. Plenty of fresh tasting fruit and good tannins. It lacks the depth and nuance of a Barolo of course but this is one of the best Langhe Nebbiolos I have tried - great value.

Fantastic complexity for the price: musky farmyard, pot pourri, violets, cherries, rolling tobacco. On the palate, the acidity takes charge and it is like bitter cherry juice, but all grown up. Tannins almost completely resolved, but this retains noticeable structure. Bottle 1/4, looking forward to following these over the coming years.

Quintessential food wine from the wonderfully consistent Produttori. First impressions are of simple rusticity but really came alive with a herby sausage and lentils dish to show great poise and depth. Notes of rose petals and cherries. Drinking well now and for the next 5 years.

Transparent garnet in color. Aromas of earth, rose, black tea, orange peel, cherry, plum, vanilla, and licorice. Medium body and finish, medium (+) acid, and flavors of cherry, strawberry, orange, tangerine, black tea, clove, and dried spices. Drinking well, and perfect with carnitas tonight.

Was disappointed in this one. I think the bottle was served too warm. I’ve had a few like this over the years and I’m finally realizing that, with the high alcohol content, Barbaresco and Barolo, must be served cool (ie. 18 degrees C). Otherwise, like this bottle, the alcohol and some chemical like aromas dominate.

Delicious wine. Gorgeous nose of cherries, aniseed and rose petals. On the palate, sweet and sour cherries, fennel seeds, orange peel and rose water. Fills the mouth with ripe fruit but is essentially a savoury wine. A very solid tannin structure that grips the roof of the mouth. Long finish. A lovely example of entry level Barbaresco. Drink with or without food. It will age for many years, but is good to go now if given proper decanting.

Sweet leather, sweet tobacco, and an almost even candied strawberry, but the dusty nose and palate and the pine on the finish offset nicely. More savory by day two, with acid still together and a nice tomato character coming through.

Day 1 pnp tasted didn't think would be best pairing, mostly cherries and strawberries, juicy easy drinking, nice but forgettable Day 2 wow it's like a different wine, lots of pine cone and cinnamon with deeper fruit more dried than juicy
I'd say if you drink now decant a bit

Lovely, bright Nebbiolo nose with medium intensity. Fresh cherry, dried cranberry, rose petal, moist soil, spice box and hint of balsamico. Open, straight-forward and shows a lot of varietal characteristics.
Bone dry, high acidity, medium bodied with medium(+) tannins. Sappy cherry, forest floor and rose petal coming through on the palate. Medium intensity of flavors.
This is a really solid Langhe Nebbiolo that offers a authentic expression of the grape and place. Drinking very good today but can develop more complexity with short-term aging. An absolute steal at €14!

These guys at Produttori just keep hitting it out of the park. Even with a simple nebbiolo langhe, they give us a wine that dances on the tongue, and produces a happy mouth. It's not deep, it's not a meditazione wine, but for the price, it is a fabulous everyday wine. Nose is big with cherries and bright fruit. The palate is more bright nebbiolo fruit, earth, a bit of spice, a hit of acid.

Medium-light cherry red color. On the nose, crushed raspberry and cranberry fruit aromas, fresh rose petal floral notes, and just a hint of a minerally sharpness. Blind, I would definitely call it a pinot. Everything from the color to the fruit profile to the high-toned floral character to the overall lightness and sweetness of the bouquet come off more like pinot than nebbiolo to me. More of the same on the palate. It’s very acidic, and the sharpness of the finish maybe suggests something other than pinot (though not nebbiolo to me), but otherwise it’s a dead ringer for a modest but well made cool-site pinot, with an explosion of juicy, tart red berry fruit and sweet floral tastes, with medium alcohol and light to medium body, and understated tannin. I would be absolutely shocked to learn that it wasn’t pinot if I tasted it blind.
It’s not bad, though light and simple, but it’s certainly not a strong vintage for this wine, which almost always has more heft, depth, and varietal expressiveness. So in that respect it’s disappointing.
Vinitaly 2016; 4/10/2016-4/13/2016 (Verona, Italy): Nice clean red fruit, flowery, some spice notes too, round in the palate, red fruit again, nice acidity, tight tannins, lacking serious complexity, med finish
