This has gorgeous aromas of red delicious apple, mineral, chalk, white flowers with emerging honey and perfectly integrated wood. Wow, lovely bright lifted fruit is deliciously round and concentrated. Pin point balance into a long, fresh finish.

Straw. Really lovely. Bit of very clean fruits, pear, apple, melon, citrus. Then a touch of richness. Great acidity and length. Clean as anything, no sign of oxidation. Really lovely.

First bottle of this case. Really good. Clean and bright. Citrus, melon, mineral and deep. Great balance and finesse. Long. Into its window but no rush at all.

Drank over three days. Excellent color, clean nose that does not evolve much over time. White / yellow fruit. Savory, intense, great backbone with lemon peel and yellow fruit. Remarkable balance and length, long finish. Very good, plenty of life left. Give it some air. 92-93

Still very much on the youthful side. Great balance, precise white burg limestone chardonnay on the palate. Save perhaps for Vincent Dancer, I think as good as it gets in Chassagne. I think that the 2014 white burgs are the best vintage so far in this century. The question with modern style burgundy is, in contrast to burgundy before say 1988, is how soon will they fall off the cliff.Well stored 2014's will I think be nicely hanging in there longer than any vintage this century so far,

Compare to the previous bottles we had, this bottle seemed not as mineral and showed quite dense in citrus richness. Nose was nicer than the palate in my view.

Loyal to the vineyard soft round and pure juice which makes it accessible now but this vintage has extra acids minerals and precision! Hold a few Years more and this will be a complete wine! 92+ upsides!

Excellent. Very good complexity, strong acidity, well put together. Showed well over the 3-4 hours. Will be even better after a few years. Definitely recommended.

Ordered at a restaurant in Beaune, enjoyable wine and good with food, but not exactly knocking my socks off. Young undoubtedly, but I've had more impressive '14 1ers for sure. To be fair, I don't have much experience with this producer and maybe it takes longer to come around.

2014 Burg Night (Osteria Langhe): This is a gorgeous young white Burg from a gorgeous vintage. Full, beautiful nose has loads of ripe orchard fruit, citrus, new oak toast and spice. Very sexy. Full and rich on the palate, but tons of tart, juicy acids provide balance and freshness. Rich with a healthy dose of oak, but the structure easily absorbs all the flash that the wine has to offer.

2014 Burgundy at Osteria Langhe (Chicago, IL): Seriously big and oaky chardonnay, sans reduction. One could be excused for thinking the nose was from California (especially given the touch of butter), but the palate definitely is Burgundy. Tons of brilliant acidity, coupled with that thick texture from the oak, this is the type of white Burgundy I can get behind. There's some riper fruit, but despite the ripeness it still leans towards the white part of the spectrum. Very good.

This is the type of oaky chardonnay I can truly get behind; The nose has pretty prominent notes of butter and oak, but the palate has plenty of acidic cut and minerality to bring you right back to Burgundy; Clearly very young right now, but still providing a lot of pleasure

Musique & Vin Festival BYO Dinner (Château de Meursault): Small glass, brief note. From magnum from the domaine. Slightly floral with lots of apple and pear showing excellent concentration for its level. Very long and minerally. Very good now with upside.

Again excellent wine from Bernard Moreau. Elderflower, minerals in spades, lots of intensity. It's very tasty but will definitely improve with 2-3 years in the cellar.

Tasted right after Paul Pillot's Clos St Jean this is also quite open but showing a bit more depth and complexity on the nose. There are ripe fruit notes but also citrus fruit and minerality. Great mouthfeel, really well balanced with great acidity and generous fruit. Persistent, vibrant finish. Excellent. 92-93+

The Verticals Tasting at 2023 La Paulée (Eventi Hotel, New York): Pale. I could repeat the description of the 2017 almost word for word here. Racy, young, thrilling, great cut. What a terrific set of wines! This one should unfold very slowly.

Pale straw colored; citric and slightly austere; Apple and quite mineral driven. Chablis-like and an easy keeper to try over five years or so.
