As always, the usual “Loring purple”; and I say so not dismissively, but impressed with Brian’s consistency. A vibrant nose of black cherry, cola and cinnamon. Cola (almost Dr. Pepper) leads the nose, but the other dimensions soon fill in only to be joined by cranberry and clove. The vanilla element of the cola magnifies on the finish. Almost no sediment. 14.3% alc. With various homemade pizzas including duck fired in the Ooni. 10.01.23. Recommended.

Very gorgeous wine. On the nose, floral notes blend with a bit of spiciness like dried orange peel toward clove. Pallet is simply exuberant: ripe strawberry just right amount of acidity. Seems youthful: holding up very well in 2022. Should drink great for another eight years or so. Wonderful.

Wonderful example on CA Pinot Noir. Great fruit with silky tannins. Pro tasting notes say drink by 2022 but I believe it will go a few years more with no problem.

Bright ruby color, no hint of rust around the edge. Black berry and plum fruit, then cola and chocolate, finished with some lightly sweet oak and just enough acidity. It's assertively fruity so bear that in mind when food pairing.
9/1/2021 Having now tasted through all of my Loring 14's this is one of the highlights. Less bright and more fruit.

Drank on Pinot Noir day, paired with baked wild King salmon. A guilty pleasure Pinot Noir. Very fruit forward, but some cola, slightly tart cherries, plums. A lot of body. Great for those who enjoy fruit-forward but still complex Pinot Noir.

Typical Loring SV (bright fruit), with some Clos Pepe character (acidity). Quite aromatic through an aerator. Luscious fruit, bright, black yet tart berries, cherry, dark chocolate, touch of spice; sparkle. Smooth tannins, long finish.

Medium plus body, medium acidity. Fruit forward - ripe black plum, strawberry, maraschino cherry, lightly spiced. Big mouthfeel, long finish. Very enjoyable.

On PnP, this is an explosion of very ripe black fruit that does its best to mask an interesting layer of spice that wraps around the finish. With air, the fruit calms down to a medley of fruit and spice. Not for the AFWE but it is a nice representation of what it is.

Accept this for what it is - a very fruit forward, new world Pinot- and you will have an enjoyable experience. Never going to have the complexity, interest or intensity of Burgundy, but it is not meant for that market. Twist the cap, serve and enjoy.

Very nice, medium weight. Excellent for the price. Not as good as the Walt bottling from the same vineyard, but at less than half the price, who can really complain about that? Great value. Drink now.

Had over 2 nights. Found this one was a little too fruit-forward and extracted to me. Notes of maraschino cherries, strawberry preserves, cherry cola, Asian 5-spice. Likewise on the palate with some forest floor emerging and a hint of mineral. Backed by soft sweet tannins, medium-light acidity and finishing with medium light-medium length.

Drinking really well right now. It's still got some nice acidity to it, but not over-bearing and backed by good fruit and velvety tannins. Well integrated, complex, still young, and will be able to go the distance in the bottle.

Bright, lifted, candied red fruit with complex, earthy aromatics after a several hour decant. Long, silky finish with balanced structure. Tasted along the 2013, and this is singing at a higher level right now.

The wine looks medium to deep ruby colored with less opacity then what I would think of as typical for a pinot. Strong, forward darker fruit aromas, almost like a merlot? It smells like candied cherry with secondary plum, mildly of black olive and weakly of kitchen spice. Darker dirt/earth underlies the fruit forward nature after contemplating the glass for a few minutes. If it were blind guess after look and smell, I would have guessed new world merlot if it were not for the candied cherries I'm finding on many CA pinots.
Light bodied, but tannins crisp up the palate with nice balancing acidity. Dark fruit shows on the palate without the forwardness on the nose, plum more noted on the palate then the nose, overall more relaxed and enjoyable. A little heat in the finish with tart cherry -- pleasant but not magnificent.

On the nose, sweet hard candy, dark cherries, blueberries(?), bigger feel. Not getting a lot of "typical" Pinot earthy mushroominess. Tastes like sweet dark cherries, and other red fruits. A lot of depth of flavor. Not much tang, maybe missing some acidity? Dangerously gluggable, crowd pleaser. I understand these are supposed to be approachable Pinots, so it's best to appreciate it for what it is. This wine succeeds in its mission, but not sure it's a style I'm into.

Still a baby, hold for another year or two. All the right stuff there, just needs to integrate a bit; will evolve and improve markedly over the next decade or so.

Medium nose shows dark cherry, vanilla extract, rose petals. Palate is medium plus in body, molasses, black cherry, juicy blackberry, red cherry, fresh pine or cedar, vanilla again, alcohol medium plus, finishes medium plus but could use a little more complexity. Clearly CA style but well done.

Black raspberry, black cherry, plum candy, forest floor, earth, a little raspberry, a hint of menthol, and little vanilla on the nose. Plum, black raspberry, pine needle, cranberry, and herbs on the palate. Surprisingly bright acidity, medium-long finish, well integrated tannins. Overall, I was looking for something young and fruity, and this fit the bill. It's definitely forward and fruity, but it's also well balanced.

Nice and enjoyable, just not very deep or interesting. Good, yet maybe a little two dimensional. Different but not in a bad or good way.
Dusty leather and candied red fruit on the nose. Pomegranate and black cherries on the palate. Vaguest touch of earth on both.
Medium- acidity. Medium tannin and body. Deep garnet in color.
