This is now at its ideal state of maturity, with soft, sweetish fruit and mature savoury flavours, plus a hint of menthol. Excellent. Decanted for 3 hours.

Quite a dark colour; refined, elegant, dark plum fruit, perhaps a little restrained still, but with a lingering finish. Certainly ready now, but with further improvement to come.

A fine, concentrated but elegant claret which is excellent now, but has the structure to last for another 5 years at least. One of the better clarets we have had recently.

This looks and tastes fairly mature, with plum/raisin fruit and a touch of menthol. It is well structured, perhaps too much so as it seems slightly austere. Perhaps it will become more supple given time.

Mid-red colour; quite soft on the palate, with slightly sweet fruit, medium weight and a dryish finish; drinking well now, but with a little discreet tannin which should help it keep. Not a complex wine, but satisfying.

A dark colour; quite full on the palate, with blackcurrant, blackberry and a touch of menthol. A well structured wine, with excellent balance and a long finish. Now ready, but with 5 to 10 years of life in it still. A fine example.

Second bottle of a case. A fairly deep colour; the palate is quite open and reasonably mature, with plum/blackberry fruit, good balance and some length. There is a slight woody edge to the palate which was not present in the first bottle: hence the lower mark.

Not tasted since January 2013 when I gave it 86 points: it was clearly very young and undeveloped then. Now it is fully formed although with plenty of life ahead. It has a bright colour and bright plum/blackberry fruit; slightly creamy, poised and elegant, with a fresh finish. A very attractive St Emilion for current and future drinking.

Really improved since the last bottle. Same notes on the nose and palate (black cherry, plum, leather), just better integrated. Finish round and soft. Just right with steak frites.

From the wine list at Omai (NYC) and paired with Vietnamese food. Surprisingly quaffable for an affordably priced restaurant wine. Merlot fruit is prominent with that plummy, velvet texture and smooth mouth feel - no hard edges. Not a stand out but totally easy to drink.

Ripe and generous on nose and palate, a bit blunt and simple maybe. Soft tannins, but still good grip. Fresh, open showing good fruit but not much depth or length. Drink or hold. 87-89

2nd of 24, perfect fill and cork, decanted 30 minutes - deepish plum red, little development; monolithic baked plum bouquet; fullish, quite long, intense ripe black plum fruit, big for claret, well enough balanced though, presents like irrigated US merlot needing more nuance, which hopefully will develop with time, no reason not to drink. Clearly outclassed by Ricolma 2000 and Angelus 1995 on same night. At best very good (16/20).

Nice nose of red berries and wood. Quite sweet and balanced, but unfortunately the tannins are a bit dry. Good wine to drink now but for the price there are better St. Emilions around. Drink now - 2022

Good colour, still youthful; a reasonably forthcoming nose; soft, open and attractive on the palate; elegance rather than power, and showing the class of the vintage. Attractive now, but may develop.

Not my style of wine at all. Over extracted, no terroir, very little complexity. Not a classically styled Bordeaux.
