Red berry, wood notes and spicy scents introduce a sappy mid palate with good depth of red and blue berries, licorice and chalk, ending with grip in a limestone infused persistent finish. While the refinement and lenght are first rate, the wine is text book 2014, with fine but fiery tannins, and a mat fruit profile. Cellar it a couple of years. Love Petits Monts.

Magnificent hedonistic juice in a perfect but still fruit forward spot. Red cherry. Vosne spice. Wood much more integrated than last year. Should wait but so much pleasure now. Gorgeous.

Wood - and woody sheen on the palate. Slightly musty on the nose too. But in a burgundy glass after 30 mins this is complete pleasure: intense red cherry, more mature than expected, silky, a little Vosne spice, not too much extraction. Another hedonistic wine during these strange times - maybe we need them right now. From now for my palate with just a little air in the glass to enjoy the fruit.

Leiden in Scheveningen’s Gouden Kalf: Impressive red fruit, velvety, lovely spices, round soft tannins in the back. Absolutely wonderful Vosne. Seductive pinot from Maxim.

Quite a big wine. Loads of berries and a fair amount of clove/cinnamon on the nose; dark berries and gravel on the tongue. Opulent to the degree that I really can't judge how it will evolve. But evolve it will, for the tannins, though quite soft, are definitely present. A little decadent but very enjoyable.

Gouden Kalf @ Den Haag: Ripe red cherry fruit of striking purity followed by juicy, sappy tannins. Very elegant and apppealing!

good body - sweet already, red berries, well integrated not too aggressive tannins. waiting to be further developed and may improve with age.

Vosne Millésime - Noblesse des Clos Vougeot - Les Grands Jours de Bourgogne (Château du Clos de Vougeot): Tasting, brief note. Intense spice driven start with red fruit that I like a lot. Dense fruit flavors with a slightly candied character that I did not enjoy as much, but then a more balanced, minerally finish I did enjoy. Judgment reserved.
