Rather darkly pitched with firm tannins remaining, especially for a village wine. This lacks the textural silkiness of Chambolle and presents itself very much like a Pommard. It’s very good and should age gracefully, but is more rustic than I would hope for.

Had gotten a few hours air but was still rather reductive on the nose. Plush and more of a dark fruit profile I thought this was Pommard/Beaune blind. Lush fruit, rather supple with terrific balance.

Coravin fun - new arrivals (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Cream, slight toast, red over blackberry; touch of blue berry compote in fact with a little black cherry as well backed by a smidge of sweet spice. it gets' more jubey with time, pretty. This all translates to the palate with coarse talc textured tannic burr, all travel long. Young, still very primary but balanced, pleasing. Good

Ripe red and black berry aromas and flavors with both sweet and savory spice notes. This manages to showcase 2015's ripeness simultaneously with Chambolle's distinct ferrous minerality. A very fun and successful Village level wine that is entering a great drinking window and should be wonderful for another decade.

Had a floral nose and was crammed with creamy black cherry fruit. It had decent underlying minerality and a finish that was somewhat akin to sucking on a cherry stone.

Primary and tannic, but well buffered by ripe, red cherry fruit with hints of minerals.
