Full of apple and lemon fruit notes. Energetic and fresh with acidity and light-handed oak. There's enough body and subtle notes all the way to the finish to keep this plenty interesting.

Medium bodied yellow pee colored Chardonnay. Green apples. Did I say green apples yet?! Tart acidity with some layers of citrus fruit and hints of minerality. A tad one dimensional.

This bottle was at perfect maturity. Not minerally or layered, but not heavy or buttery either. Smooth and balanced with trace of tropical fruit. Easy to drink on its own but went especially well with pan grilled pork chops with bacon, brussel sprouts and sauteed spatzle. Drink now and over next 12 months.

deep golden in color. Looks much much older than one expects a four year old wine to look. One sniff was enough. That assessment was shared by other seasoned oenophiles. Equally advanced on the palate. Apparently prematurely oxidized chardonnay isn't only a French phenomenon. Very disappointing

This must be what Champagne tastes like pre-dosage, or what Chablis tasted like during the last ice age. The pH is low enough to dissolve a recently deceased corpse, and it totally overwhelms any nuance or subtlety that might have existed.

This was a very nice, and quite unique, Chardonnay. At the Last Bottle Marathon price of $29, QPR is acceptable. It is a really fresh style, with nicely ripe fruit, and very little oak influence (mostly old French barrels), but something just keeps it from being exceptional … not quite the right integration and length on the finish. Maybe it will improve with age.

Coravin notes: Steely, citrusy, stewed pineapple on the nose, medium bodied and enough acid to cut through a mushroom cream sauce pasta. Bought from Last Bottle and wishing I'd gotten more.

my November note applies, tho I thought this had a little more oomph, sat squarely -- style-wise -- between the Stag's Leap Karia chard '15 and the Vacheron Sancerre "Les Romains" '12

TheCorkDork's note from 2016 says it well, this was 'clean, lean and super refreshing'... although density of material was a little light... tasted just a little hollow -- probably hard to stand up to the 2010 Comte Lafon Clos de la Barre we had alongside

Tropical fruit, granite, acacia flower and lemon grass. A succulent finish and a juicy entry, this shows a desirable Santa Cruz Mountian character. A nicely medium finish. Drink now - 2022.

Very citrusy yet somewhat round rather than crisp. Interesting.

Clean lean and super refreshing. Energetic and exotic with hints of lime leaf and quince paste. Awesome wine. reminds me of young Stony Hill.
