Deep dark reddish-purple in color. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of dark cherries, blueberries & raspberries with overtones of floral & earthy/dusty notes, spices, minerals & a hint of herbs in the background. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of sour cherries, sweet blueberries & pomegranate with spices, minerals & a touch of dried herbs. Lingering finish. An absolutely lovely Dolcetto with the structure & fruit to continue development further with an additional aging.

This one had much less of the heavy reduction that the last bottle suffered. Composite cork perfect. Color purplish garnet. Swishing shows some acid but more tannin structure. Sipping shows full fruit and good weight. I would wait a little longer if I had more. I think that this will settle more.

GMs - Casual Fridays September 2017: Raspberry and blackberry, cherry and licorice. Sweet fruited palate, with nice acidity kicking through. Medium length.

Deep ruby, with some purple and fast moving legs @13% abv. Medium aromas of cherry, fall leaves and dark chocolate. Dry, high acidity, medium(-) tannin, medium alcohol and body. Medium palate of cherry, tart red berries, kirsch, Mon Cheri chocolates, white pepper dusting. Balanced, linear and very drinkable. Good length with bright, juicy acidity and only in the aftertaste shine the ripe tannins through.

PNP. Cork wet halfway up. Color super dark. Nose marred by reduction. Matchstick and rubber predominantly that did not improve with decanting. Swishing shows dense acidity that makes the wine feel hollow. Get the same sense on sipping. Don't know if this will outlive the reduction but got nothing to lose to wait.

Peccato. Comunque sempre un buon vino. Solitamente è un Dolcetto d'Alba meraviglioso.

Deep ruby colour. The nose is clean and developing, showing pronounced intensity aromas of ripe strawberries, ripe red currants, blackberries and hints of fresh grass.
It is dry in the mouth with a medium acidity. It has medium+ slightly coarse tannins and a medium alcohol strength. It has a medium+ body and medium+ intensity flavours. The finish is medium+.
It is a very good quality wine. The finish is persistent and it has a juicy fruit concentration that helps to achieve a good balance with the tannins and alcohol strength. On the other hand it could be more complex.

A bit acidic but fruit and character beginning to show through after decanting.

Soft but full bodied red. Nice complement to italian sausage/potato/pepper bake. Very dry, not sweet (name?) I liked it very much.

Tour du Monde (Chevalier Fine Wines - Chicago IL): Tasting, brief note. Bold and almost jammy aromas, then lighter and thinner flavors. OK overall.
