Very surprised by the finish this wine still had due to age. I thought I had missed the mark. Still buttery, good fruit, oak, silky and a beautiful light golden color the chardonnay should have.

This was entirely lacking fruit and is really just a mountain of oak now. I would be surprised if there is much bottle variation with this vintage. It appears to be completely shot.

Still had great butter finish and smooth texture. Hint of green apple and pear. Beautiful gold coloring with brillant clarity. Aged well for a white wine thats 7 years old.

Decanted 45 minutes. This was a very well proportioned wine and a real treat for those who enjoy big, buttery California Chardonnay. Unmistakeably New World, but very well put together with tropical notes of pineapple, custard, orange rind and butter.

Typical "Industrial strength" Cali chard. Clear yellow thick feel. Nose is a little oaky palate is pure dense tropical fruit. I love these wines but they are not for everybody.

Drinking beautifully -- good fruit, lots of oak, butter, round finish. A signature California chardonnay.

Spectacular with honey, apple, lemon and cream. A good dose of oak on the finish that complemented the flavor without overpowering the fruit. Awesome.

regretably, our last bottle. consistently enjoyable for an oak bomb, and i say that with no appologies.

Dinner at the Wine Cask (The Wine Cask, Santa Barbara, CA): From magnum; Buttery, rich chardonnay. It was well-balanced but I find Pahlmeyer chards oaky for my tastes.

Very nice. Rich, opulent chardonnay. Great floral nose with hints of lemon and cedar. Crisp notes of ripe apple and pear that race to a strong finish.
