Aromas burst from the glass. Plum, beetroot, stems, baking spices, red berries, roses. It’s medium weighted, with a rich, velvety feel. There’s a spicy lift carried by acid laced with orange rind. There’s a lot of interest here, and it’s still youthful.

Lovely wine! In the glass it's a lovely transparent ruby. Almost a touch cloudy. Could almost be confused with Burgundy, except the fruit is just a tad large scaled and fruit forward. The nose blasts cranberry jelly, strawberry, raspberry, forest undergrowth, incense, blood orange and cardamom. Clearly showing a touch of whole cluster. The palate has excellent blood orange tinged acid, with medium minus tannin and a medium plus finish. Great wine. Should age very nicely. Wish I had more.

Similar notes as last time, if a bit more closed yet smoother with velvety tannins. Stewed strawberries, orange, orange peel, rust and baking spice. Agree with other tasters that green stem is coming through much more clearly now. This seemed more integrated than when I drank a couple of years ago, but less explosive and less intense. With this and the Tout Pres I am realizing I am not as much a fan of whole bunch and thus need to drink earlier in the window, but it is really your preference. Drink or hold, depending on your style.

First of six The whole bunch inclusion is evident Quite opulent, rich, sappy, sweet (almost too much so, but keeps it in check) Earth, plums, spice, cranberry. Needs more time, on this showing I would expect the score to increase with another 6-8 years. Hold

Interesting Pinot. At first quite open with hint of forest floor nose and burnt fruit on a medium plus finish. Shut down a bit then became very stemmy. Then delivered a wallop of Christmas spice not unlike a Chambertin Clos de Beze. Finally, after two plus hours it seemed to settle into more of a feminine velvet plum earth style with a better finish. Very good just not quite sure what to make of it at this stage. Seems very young some more time will bump the score up assuming it comes more together. 93 now 94/95 eventually? Very pleasurable to drink now with some air.

Superb Australian Pinot, probably up there in the top half dozen. Hint of forest floor on the nose, dark cherry fruit, long length with emerging complexity. Can only get better from here.

On the nose you get some freshly grated ginger, beetroot, red berry and chalk. The briary fruits are sweet and delicate in the mouth and there's good definition. It finishes with a lick of salty mineral.

My first Farr / Farrside but not my last. Very elegant/OldWorld in style and I would never put this as an Aussie if it was served blind.
Blueberry bush, aromatic spice (5spice/baking spice?) with red berries showing in the acidity while the tannins gives me notes of juniper wood.
Still quite youthful but very good! Can't wait to see what a few more years will bring!

Behöver absolut luft - för min smak.
Så vänta minst två-tre år till är mitt råd.
Men, dricks med välbehag för den som så önskar från nu.
92 idag, kan landa något högre om något år

I like the lingonberry sprigs and strawberry coupled with the forceful acidity. Perhaps a tad overripe somehow. Good purity.

Roses and light red berries on the nose. Rich and full bodied. Tastes very natural. Elegant but rich. Perhaps needs a little more time
