This wine drinks like a light Shiraz. It's a blend of Shiraz, Pinot & Zin. Tasted high alcohol content & spice. I think I waited a little too long to open this bottle.

Vegetal funk on the nose. Fruit is evident on the palate, but so are some strange flavors that I can’t place. Not enjoyable, and this wine review is terse only out of respect for the makers other solid efforts.

Deep red but still transparent. Dark fruit mixed with asian spice on the nose. Mouthfeel is pure velvet, and has a nice mixed berry on the mid palette of strawberry pop-tart. A little candied, but not over the top. All in all a nice NV blend, and the Pinot-Zin mix softens the Syrah.

This is version {5}. Dark but clear purple color with a nose of Pinot must and Zin jam. Medium-light body on the palate with very few tannins showing up until the end (probably the Syrah's contribution). Interesting blend that I imagine would not be for everyone. It didn't offend, but I wasn't feeling it at all. Second day was less interesting.

The Sampler (The Sampler, Angel, London): Made from a blend of Pinot Noir, Syrah and Zinfandel this wine is a blend from different states and different vintages! Light purple in colour I found typical strawberry, raspberry and creamy vanilla characters on the nose. There was also a slight hint of tropical fruit! The palate showed more body than the nose and appearance suggested. Sweet red fruit, candy floss and a hint of spice. Would probably be quite nice chilled!

The Syrah, Zinfandel and the Pinot Noir did not compliment each other in this bottling. The fruit seemed to be dominated by the Pinot Noir but did not have enough balance with little structure to support the fruit.

Oregon Blends (Every Day Wine): Nice fruit...lots of pepper too. The zinfandel in this blend really stands out. Finish is a bit short for having so much fruit on the palate. Nose is lovely, with cherry and pepper.

Although the Zin does take over a bit, the Pinot Noir lightens it up. Jammy nose with a hint of tree fruit. Almost as sweet as pie filling, the pinot cuts through the others with a tad of acidity. Very interesting blend. Can't taste anything that the Syrah brings to the bottle, but it was a good quaffer, and went well with roasted chicken and risotto.

I don't have a very sensitive palet (or at least have not learned to really differentiate between tastes, aromas, etc.) but as a wine drinker with not nearly as much diversity in my choices I found this wine to be delightful. A ight red that was, for me at least, a pleasure to drink.

In a few words, this is simply a good bottle for a weeknight, or for friends that aren't totally into wine, but can appreciate an easy drinker. Give it a little time to open up and you'll appreciate the quaffability (sp) of a fun little number from sokol blosser. If you want something more serious, then this isn't your bottle!
BTW, think about zin and syrah mixed with pinot. Don't expect it to be like pinot, after going up against those big boys. Seriously.

it does what it does - zin fruit dominates. very drinkable - a no brainer... a good party wine which ought to find general appeal to mixed palate preferences.

This wine was shared with a lot of pinot noir, it was a nice break with all the pinots. It went well with red meat, we had lamb and tri tip. Full-bodied, a very nice blend. We shared at an August BBQ with Tim, Jim, Steve, Jacque, Mike and Judi.

The sweet and heavy zinfandel seems to dominate this wine, but the acidity offered by the other grapes ekes out a nice middle ground. The nose is somewhat too much oak and jam, but serve it slightly more chilled and my guess it would do fine with Indian cuisine for example.

This blend is dominated by the zin. Spicy nose and palate with hints of syrah on the finish. Pinot is faint on the nose. Not a bad blend. Definitely needs some air time in the decanter to burn off some of the zin heat.

Thought this wine was good. Syrah, Zin, and pinot blend. My wife loves this wine as do I. This is there second year of making the wine and they did it right again. Its very fruty wine.

I really could not get into this wine. It smelled promising with a delicate mineral cherry aroma, but it tasted like an odd blend of stewed tomatoes and plums--a definite clash. And the finish was somewhat bitter. It wasn't turned; I just think that the Syrah, Zin, Pinot Noir blend was too schizophrenic to be enjoyable. So...I ended up cooking with it.

Tasted at Vino 100. Dark garnet to the rim. Almost opaque. Heady aromas of brambly raspberry, black cherry, forest and menthol spice. Soft feel and medium bodied with flavors of black fruit and anise. Medium acidity and light, fine tannins are balanced well and lead into to a persistent finish.

I'm a sucker for odd blends, both for the novelty and the challenge of finding the parts in the whole...That being said, I thought Meditrina would be a new favorite. Maybe it was just me or this particular bottle but I had a hard time getting much more than crazy-big Zin fruit. Once open, there was a little spice, cherry and earth which made me feel a little better :) I'm going to pick up another bottle eventually and try again...I want it to be so good!

BLEND OF ZINFANDEL, PINOT NOIR, AND SYRAH; DARK PURPLE ALMOST JAMMY, THE BLEND IS DOMINATED BY THE ZINFANDEL FRUIT BOTH ON THE NOSE AND PALATE, VERY LITTLE SPICE OR EARTHINESS FROM THE OTHER VARIATELS. IT WAS PLEASANT, BUT NOT OUTSTANDING. JM ENJOYED MORE THAN I DID.

Dark red and jammy. Sweet fruit. The bottle says it tastes like Marionberry pie, and I don't disagree. A blend of Pinot Noir, Syrah and Zinfandel from Oregon.
