If i remember correctly this vintage was close to undrinkable (completely unbalanced and boring) in 2017. Now it has definitely improved, probably two to three years more then going to decline. With the good acidity and nicely balanced tannins it went very well with our mushroom-pasta. Also had chocolate afterwards and this combined excellently as in a previous review.

Took about 90 min to open up after decanting. Nice tannins, hints of anise and maybe pomegranate. Good with our meal and excellent with the chocolate dessert.

Ruby red color, nose of plums and cherries. Well resolved tannins, good acid. Mature, yet with enough complex fruit left to intrigue. Seems to be in the sweet spot, but I look forward to seeing how it will evolve in the next couple of years.

Not brilliant, to be honest. It has the freshness of the Sangiovese grape, the fruit is ripe and plummy, but the tannic structure is rough and drying. It’s quite a flavoursome wine with a certain stature, but it just doesn’t come together, it lacks harmony and elegance. Even for € 9.99, I will not buy again.

This is the 'Sommeliers Selection' at the place I typically stay during the week. I think the note before mine had it correct. Prob more appropriate to say quaffable table wine. Nothing special or unique, but also missing that cheap acidity that sometimes comes through in wines. It's easy. Better with food.

Nose - cherry&chestnut Mouth - juicy, fresh, lovely in the way that Sangiovese is with great acidity as expected; in summary a refreshment. Perennially underestimated appellation & varietal

Light garnet in color, this wine revealed violet, dust and black cherry on the nose. The mouth feel brought medium tannins and additional notes of spice, anise and leather. The finish was short in length with the acidity struggling to stay in balance with the fruit. 13.5% abv.
Purchased for $44US at a local Italian restaurant, this was a very simple offering that didn't improve with air or food. Luckily, I drank it with a friend while watching the Eagles beat the Vikings to win the NFC Championship.

There's nothing to see here folks. Move along. The deceased led a bland, grey boring life, and multiple attempts to revive were unsuccessful. Dumped the last glass down the drain.

"Thin" was the first thing that popped into my head on the first sip. "Describe the wine, honey," I asked my wife. "Thin," she said. Great minds think alike. There is some fruit in there somewhere, but the tart acidity makes this atypical of what I remember in Vino Nobile. Meh.

Not comparable to 2010 vintage. Might improve, but at the moment even after decanting and opening over three days too tanic and acidity. Try to wait ...

Intense ruby colour, at the nose intense, opened and just after smell of varnish and fresh herbs which are not pleasant but rotating the glass they faded a lot, under this layer you can find scent of violets, red fruits like cherry and pomegranate, light leather, slight balsamic note, cloves, vanilla and toasted oak (a lot of sweet fruity notes). In the mouth, light body, harsh, warm (13.5°), medium acidity+, medium/high level of young tannins, slight sapid.

After decanting about an hour we loved it so much we had to open another bottle. Smooth and lovely. So glad we let it age a bit!

Tasted over three days. Seemed like there was a constant veil between us and the fruit--never stopped holding back, even with food. Pass.

Still tannic, but you can find dried strawberry and very good acidity. Far more better that equal (for money, year, aging) Chianti Classico.
