Probably the best of the Weill a Way Exposition wine. Definitely showing some secondary characteristics at age 10. Almost creamy texture with some subtle notes of caramel (closest flavor I could come up with). More savory than fruity at this stage.

This is delicious. Came together really well after an hour or so open and 1/2 hour in the glass. It needs air for sure. Wonderful fruit but enough mouthfeel to carry it along. There is fat and some savoriness in the back to balance it put, and I get the same silkiness that others have called out. I find that in many Bedrock syrahs. This is CA wine, I don't get crushed rock but instead find silky sunshine and deep red fruit. Excellent, and excited for the One and Two which are up next.

Great depth and complexity. Red fruits, raspberry, cherry cola, bacon fat, baking spice, loads of florals from the viognier. Tannins are well integrated. Nice acid zip. My only complaint is that the finish is rather short.

Purchased direct from Bedrock last year. This is the most polished of the three Expositions for 2013. Full bodied plus with ultra extracted dark fruit, raspberry, plenty of sweet oak, clove/anise, leather and smoked meat. Visually lighter (more red vs black) than One and Two with a considerably more silky mouthfeel. Still heat pokes out and structure feels faded. I’d drink all these in the next few years. Blind I might guess this as a hot mess of a Pinot. These are good wines for the initial release price just not $300 plus.
Pumped half over night and really showing fatigue night two. Strange and unpleasant secondary notes. Drink now.

The first indoor gathering since Covid (Clarity - Vienna, Virginia): This would have been a very impressive barrel sample Incredibly concentrated with black and blue fruit yet silky and fluid. I find it a bit monolithic lacking nuance. Impressive wine but not my cup of tea.

Great dark red sweet fruits, strawberry, cherry, raspberry, tomato, bacon fat, violets, clove, cinnamon, super fine grain tannins, perfect balance and great intensity. I love this wine and very sorry this is my last bottle.

Actually meant to grab the 2012, ha ha. This is not for the faint of heart. Nose of motor oil, grilled peaches, & boysenberry preserves with an intoxicating ethereal swampiness throughout. A deeply pitched plum and blackberry palate goes on forever. Not especially tannic. Overall like a hypothetical cross between an Alban and a Cayuse. I think Galloni was triggered by the Guigal Lala hyperbole marketing. This was delicious and distinctive, if massive in presentation. I expect this to improve incrementally over the next 5 years, not sure about the long term.

Initially it had almost zero nose... even later it wasn't that impressive. The palate on the other hand is a very different story. Crazy intense, cherry liquor, strawberry, orange peel and cream, tobacco, cinnamon, cloves, roses, tea, a little hot still on the finish, but wow this is good with the incredible mix of flavors and silky profile. Love it. The Viognier is very noticeable on this wine more than the #2 as to be expected.

Second bottle of this amazing wine, the Viognier is extremely noticeable, but that's not a bad thing, it's extracted, pure, and brings a lot of complexity to the table. Beef, cherry, lychee, blackberry, dirt, great texture with fine gritty tannins and a shot of gin in the finish. The latter should get better with age. Truly a great wine and I wish I had more!
Nose of cherry, strawberry and a huge amount of what I'd describe as Alban Viogner, it's a massive wine with a nice creamy passion fruit component. Impeccable balance with a hint of alcohol. This is very good, but I still like "Two" the best.

Dense, needs lots of air. Will age 20+ years from here.
Hints of smoked meats. Really tight yet. Pass these onto your grand kids. Hold.

Pleasure to have this again (thank you Jeff), consistent to my previous notes on this wine. It's drinking beautifully right now as a PnP.

Almost sad to drink this, I anticipated it so much. Little nose. Nice flavors. Long finish.

Terrific wine straight out of the bottle. Very balanced with a long taste that seems to gain weight. Wonderful.
