I was a bit late to open it! Nose of apricot, peach and almonds! Medium body with tons of white stone fruits! Not the best example of the wine I'm afraid and I can only blame myself for achieving this!

Fruit has faded as one might expect. Beautiful wine. Nose of hazelnuts with a hint of butter. Still with a balanced acidity. Sorry to see the last bottle go

Colour: golden straw. Quite pale. Nose: Roux. Hint of oak- elegance. This is an attractive wine. A certain nuttiness, apricot (but not particularly fruity). Jo says like a new book. Popcorn? Palate: minerality and chalk. Acidity in the finish like citrus fruit- tart grapefruit or lime... long. Delicious.

Started when it was cool - pure crisp minierality but then after some time in the decanter the fruits started to come through for a rich complex round taste
Yum Yum

Opened and poured myself a small drop to see where it was. Beautiful bright yellow/straw color, no signs of oxydation, I held my breath and brought it to my nose... Lovely, absolutely lovely, with bright white flowers and lemon zest, all wrapped in a soft blanket of almond skins. But on the palate, tight, tight, and did I mention tight? OK, so I left it open in the fridge and prepped dinner. After about an hour and a half, I revisited the wine, and what can I say but Vive la Difference!
This had fleshed out considerably, becoming sultrier and more voluptuous, offering tons of the same notes as before but now on the palate, with quartz minerals rumbling around in the mid-palate, leading to a super crisp, mouth-envelopping wave of acidity that lasted for minutes after each sip. Wow. Not super complex, it was super enjoyable, and absolutely perfect with the fish.

brilliant wine - subtle nose of honey with a dash of lemon - gentle attack that builds brilliantly with great length - certainly not a fruity blockbuster but everything is in perfect balance - drink soon

I had miced feelings about this wine... the palate was a little bitter with no fruit at first, but it seemed to settle down on day 2. I could definitely see the hint butterscotch on the finish as noted by others.

I don't know which I liked better, this or the Chassagne. Both of them surprised me with the saline grip of ocean pebbles balanced with a woodsy note like walking through pine scrub on an Oregon beach. Surprisingly fine for a village.

Another disappointing showing for this wine. Nose has some pleasant white fruit and flowers, but the palate is very lean, and has an odd bitterness on the finish.

I really liked this. Lots of green apple, some minerality, just sort of gets out of the way and presents the fruit for what it is. Compared to the Kistler, just seemed light, refreshing and had a bit more to say, albeit in a quite way. Thanks Josh!

Downunder tasting (Chris) - Citronella and lemon candy, with a dash of herbs and honey, the moderate structure keeping it focused. It picks up some butterscotch on the finish.

XMas Eve at Michel's. Closed. Seems to have good chrystaline purity, but I'm not getting much. After an hour or so, some Puligny-ness began to emerge, but by then I had to leave, so this TN is limited to the wine's first hour.

Fairly simple and straightforward wine. Doesn't seem to have the flesh to soften the bones. Plenty of acid, but -- especially for a 2005 -- I keep trying to find the fruit. Very tart and lemony, without any depth.

The Oak mineral and lemon on this bottle where tiresome to drink. I seem to get great bottle variation with this wine. Some seem Charred oak style others seem Chablis?

Hugh amount of new oak on the nose but not on the pallet, more exotic fruits (melon, pinapple) and a nice amount of minerality. Great acidity and a hint of Smoke and toasted oak on the finish made this a great wine.

Strangely uninspiring. It seemed to show no character or personality; not thin, but it was "watery," for lack of a better way of putting it. Maybe it's closed, but I just wasn't finding any stuffing underneath that would lead me to expect more in the future. Try again in a year?

Rich round and smooth with a nose of butter and hazelnuts.
Some crispness on the palate to offset the richness go the butter.
Excellent Village

Wonderful. Great structure and balance. Citrus fruits all the way through to a honey like sweetness on the back palate.

Great match for salmon. Nice citrus, appley flavors with a hint of butterscotch if you concentrate. I could drink it all day.
