  • Good red blend that comes at a good price. Pretty well rounded and enjoyable with some red fruits and little oak. Not a lot of complexity but I'm willing to take it for the good price.

  • 3 generations for the family. Cab, merlot, Fr and usa oak. I've always liked for for the price, bramble notes and more dried herbal notes.

  • This must be on day two. Showing a bit disseccated, and raspberry and saltiness.

  • Pleasant surprise here -- was a check-in gift at the Harvest Inn in Napa for a one-night stay. Generous gift, but wasn't expecting much from a comped bottle. But this is really delicious stuff, and a super fun blend, which isn't what I expect from the folks at WH. Not that they don't make great wines, but the ones I've tried have been play-it-safe Bordeaux styles. This has the Cab and Merlot, but also some Syrah and Zin. WH's site says it's mostly Cab, with smaller (but equal) part Merlot/Syrah, with a little bit of Zin splashed in. To me it tastes less like a mostly-Cab blend and more like a version of The Prison, albeit one that trades in its tank top for a collared shirt.

The wine is round and approachable -- a little bit of fine tannin, but soft overall. Crisp blackberry, raspberry jam, tobacco, and licorice. Not crazy complex as others have noticed, but the balance and length are terrific. Crisp, juicy finish hangs out 30+ seconds, and made this go great with pasta and red sauce. Awesome value from an O.G. Napa producer, and a fun alternative to the traditional style of wine coming from that valley.

  • BTG restaurant purchase. Very aromatic mixed sweet red and black berries, candied cherries, and juicy plum. Jammy and smooth, but little to no complexity. Good with appetizers.

  • I reiterate my notes from a few months ago. This is a pleased and well balanced well priced wine. It is mildly aromatic with a licorice like flavor smoothed by a creamy mouth feel with lingering peppery notes.

  • Dark almost inky. Blackberry on the nose. As others have noted, massive fruit dominates everything. Not my style but great for a crowd pleaser.

  • Notes from the Winery "This ferociously fun blend has depth, balance and big flavors. Up front, the aromas are dense blackberries, cocoa dust, rhubarb, star anise, blueberry crumble and a touch of sweet tobacco. It bursts with expansive flavors of blueberries, mixed berry jam, vanilla, cherry Danish and a subtle note of black pepper. This wine has great texture that finishes with round silky smooth tannins. Enjoy Tre Leoni with your next BBQ and when gathering with family or friends. Enjoyable now through 2025 with proper cellaring."

  • A great red blend for the price point

  • While neither great nor disappointing this is a wine which celebrates mediocrity. It is a mildly aromatic cab with a licorice like flavor smoothed by a creamy mouth feel with lingering peppery notes. The tannin leads me to think this will improve more with some bottle age. Overall good value. Best to hold for 1-3 years before drinking.

  • This is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Zinfandel. It's inky in the glass with a nose of blackberry, blueberry and black cherry. On the palate, the wine is a fruit bomb with the same blackberry, blueberry, and black cherry and a toasty oak, medium-length finish. The tannins are silky, silky smooth and no decant is really necessary. I paid around $21 for the wine at a Safeway, and at that price it would be perfect to serve at a large party or even a wedding.

  • Deep red color. Nose of caramel, cocoa and dark cherries. Full body, very pleasant and smooth, but not especially complex. Slight tannin on he medium+ finish. Good QPR.

  • toasted caramel, blue & black fruits, graphite, palate is dark, fairly sweet but the oak & stem influence keep it in balance. A tad green...but it really needs this to keep the wine in balance. After a few minutes, this really opens up. Showing some cranberry on the finish.

  • Flush with dark bramble fruits, black currants, licorice and menthol, this opaque crimson wine is a full-bodied fruit bomb. An unspecified blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Zinfandel, it offers freshness, well-integrated alcohol (14.2%), moderate oak and medium supple tannins to support its ripe flavors. Nicely dense in the middle and finishing with medium length, it is a well-priced wine which should pair nicely with a grilled steak over the next five years or so. Drink now-2022.
