Nose: brioche, red apple, white flower, fig, red fruits, honey, wild berry, sugar cane, chestnut Notes: Disgorged April 2016. Quite some floral notes to this wine and this is accompanied by some interesting apple aroma upon opening. The interesting thing is really the fact that a Blanc de Noir can offer you the finesse and structure at the same time while maintaining a nice acidity. After opening for 30 minutes some wild berries came out. Having the best of both worlds and getting the absolute best from each single grape variety is quite impressive and outstanding. Towards my last sip the sweetness and the chestnut aroma started to come out and this kind of complexity and the development is one of a kind. A couple more years might bring even more potential out from this wine but it's drinking nicely now also. Drink: 2026+ Rating: 92

PnP, rich enticing clean nose - light, red apple & mineral on palate, doesn’t have the depth of flavour or length compared to a fabulous 2010 I tried recently. Have reserved 300 mls to try tomorrow as I didn't allow it to breathe tonight. Still a great, bargain product from Cedric B.

A delicate wine and so tasty. Well-integrated acidity and fine mousse leads a palate of meyer lemon and red berries, yeasty complexity, and a lingering finish. Pretty consistent with my notes from exactly 2 years ago, but a bit more muted in acidity. Make sure not to pair with too strongly flavored foods. Even spicy charcuterie will overwhelm its flavors. But this is a rock star with raw / cured seafood.

Soft, low pressure and very flavorful champagne. Mellow on the palate with out the cut of many champagnes as intended. Very pure fresh ripe guava flavor and so easy to drink.

Monthly Boys' Wine Night (Eric's House, Hong Kong): Disgorged in 2016. Very light silver colour. Lively, sophisticated mousse. Light, lifted nose of different white flowers. Very attractive palate- not very vinious. Delicate white flowers, Dances lightly on the tongue. Very elegant and more-ish. I would buy this for sure.

For me, every sip was worth savoring and exploring as the wine opened up over the course of a two hour dinner. Smells of steel and flowers, and maybe some bread crust. On the palate, once you go over the crest of sharp acidity, the mid palate gently catches you and gives you a ride of a long lingering finish of Meyer lemon, strawberry, and a touch of yeast. It’s a subtle wine that gives more nuance if you savor the wine in your mouth. Was perfect complement for the Japanese kappo style meal that was equally as subtle but nuanced. 93-94 for me tonight.

Wow, what a beautiful Champagne. Notes of candied lemon zest, small strawberries, white flowers, pungent steely minerality, overall this feels super tense, with laser-like precision. Super high acidity adds to the fresh mouthfeel, it‘s medium-full bodied but almost weightless, has small bubbles and excellent mid-palate persistence as well as incredible length. A great vinous Champagne full of tension.

My first experience with this cuvee. Brighter and lighter on the palate than the Val Vilaine, and not as blunt as that wine can sometimes be. It also tastes less dry than Val Vilaine. Very nice, but it lost a little focus and intensity on the second night. As always with Bouchard, drink with food.

April 2006 Disgorgement. Very beautiful and drinking very nicely now. Well round, nice balance of fruit, acidity and yeasty profile. Quite fresh too and the late disgorgement date allows it to mix that fresh side with a nice evolved palate feel. Very good. 92-93
