Drank this over an afternoon and the development was impressive. Started out thin with distinct lemon flavor and limited nose. After four hours, it produced tart, round tropical fruit flavors focused around pineapple with some minerality and nicely balanced acidity. A fine accompaniment for homemade bread with good butter and salt and ,astonishingly, went well with some split pea soup. The acidity and citrus notes balanced the rich smoky ham flavors of the soup.

First day it had great texture and was balanced but as JG points out — leesiness is a bit too much. The wine was thin as some have pointed out but it is 100% a food wine or a sitting by the pool wine. Think a more complex muscadet, not chardonnay. Second day though the leesiness is gone and it’s hard to distinguish from a villages level Chablis — lots of wet stone, minerals, but a hint more of sunshine fruit than austere. It is very distinct for California and good QPR, but not a super complex wine that you will be poring over for hours. Very enjoyable but don’t expect too much. I do think this will be a bit better in 1-3 years based on my second day experience so might be worth holding on to a few bottles.

The wine is pale lemon in color with a tinge of green. Viscosity appears to be medium (12.5% abv on label). Lemon peel, underripe stone fruits and green apple on the nose with some floral and very slight evidence of oak. Bright and lively on the palate with citrus, stone fruit, earth and very slight oak flavors (probably around 10% or less new french oak). The wine is very good for an entry level chardonnay and reminds me of a 1er Cru Chablis, with a different expression of soil.

A: Clear pale lemon green N: Pear, apple, lime, toast, vanilla, stone. medium (+) int. and youthful P: Dry, high acid, medium alcohol, medium (+) body, medium (+) intensity and long finish C: Lay this down for 5 years and its complexity will improve. As it is, it is an outstanding quality wine and the QPR is superb. I was served this a little warm which knocked a point off

Lovely food friendly wine. Flavors of lemon, lime, and orange rind and a subtle hug of cream / butter from the oak. The finish is pleasant enough if a bit short and slightly tart. Perfect pairing for the spice rubbed pork chop and pasta agla e olio, but less successful on its own.

Tasted blind. Clear, bright, pale straw with green hues. The nose is clean, youthful, medium (+) in intensity, with green apple, bright lemon peel and wet stone. The palate is dry, with medium (+) to high acidity, and medium alcohol (12.5%). The fruit is tart and crisp, with possibly some lees aging providing a little roundness. There's only a hint of oak. Medium body, medium (+ flavor intensity and length. With its impeccable balance, medium (+) to high minerality, it could easily pass as a Chablis or a Cote de Beaune. It is drinking great now and is a great value at $28.00. Really worth seeking out.

A: Pale lemon green N: wet wool .....nope it’s struck match, wet stone, vanilla, buttered pear, salt, grapefruit and orange peel, nuts. Youthful with medium (+) intensity P: Dry, medium (+) acidity, medium alcohol (12.5%), medium (+) body, medium (+) intensity and finish. Very Good to Outstanding Quality wine here. Its balanced, got great length and intensity. I **LOVE** this wine. Drink now or lay it down for 5 years. It'll last. I guessed it was something from the Cote de Beaune or further south but was a bit confused by the wet stone. Seemed too ripe to be a Chablis but shared some of its wet stone/minerality trait. I am floored at the quality here and its available for between $29-$36 a bottle. Thats insanely good QPR. All fermented and aged in neutral oak.

Slim nose with some lime and apples. Rather mineralic on the palate with a precise acidity and some stone fruit and zesty lime and lemon. Fresh and energetic Chardonnay with a mouthwatering finish.

PnP at Nomad. The ripeness of this entry level wine from Sandhi is phenomenal. Zesty lemon, a mouthful of roundness; what else can you want to pair with some spicy food and finish off very quickly on a regular night. QPR ++.

Nose was a bit muted but texture was great and very Chablis like, on the palate. Decent length on the finish. Great value

First Sandhi and a real disappointment. Good reviews but I am tasting thin lemon water.

Perhaps flawed? Heavy mineral, petrol, green pepper, sour apple and citrus oil. A bit disappointing after the high recommendation at the wine shop.

Lemon peel, spice, and white flower on the nose. Minerality on the palate. The 2014 Santa Barbara county offers early-drinking value.
