First wine after being sick for three weeks. I concur with Brada's note below. Really soft. I also get rose and tart berry. It reminds me of a cru Beaujolais, actually. Maybe that's the sans soufre effect. Super interesting expression of the Kutch Sonoma Coast wines.

Really sublime... a Burgundian style wine with a nose of rose petal, soft palate that shows lingonberry and a touch of acid. Quite pure across the tongue, a slight pierce as it flows down the gullet. This should continue to evolve, I would not hesitate to cellar for another 3-5 years.
Bravo Jamie!

At the pop it was an unruly child with a tart red berries and fruits taste that was not helped with a lite effervescence. After 5 hours the tartness mellowed , and the exuberant youth took a nap. The wine was refreshingly different in that it was fresh, lively, and enjoyable.

Tasted this earlier in the year, it showed similarly again. This is Bohan fruit done with a carbonic method. Approachable, smooth, fresh with enough structure to make the wine finish well.

Popped and poured this after giving it a couple of months rest In the cellar. It immediately shows bright raspberry and red cherry fruit, along with bright, balanced acidity and a mineral core. Overall it's very drinkable, in fact slurpable, now. Having never had a sans soufre California Pinot, I am not exactly clear on how to handle it over the near term, but the overall freshness is compelling now.

Kutch 2015 Lineup (Maro Grill, Laguna Beach): I thought this was Gamay. Looks like it and taste like it. Others did as well. Nose is candied and it's light bodies. Color is an interesting cloudy magenta, different than the other PN's. Wine dances on the tongue, very distinct. Good mineral note and fine rounded tannic structure.

2015 Kutch Wines....Done Blind With The Gang (Maro Wood Grill in Laguna Beach, CA): Served blind, as part of our detailed look at all of the Kutch 2015s. This was a 2016, the only on the table, and randomly I placed this in the center slot in terms of when we tasted it. So, it kind of sat center of the tasting flight, with the 2015s on either side of it. This matters because this wine was the least complex of the night, reflecting the style that Jamie had made it--done in stainless, no sulfur added and a low ABV of just over 11%. It drinks like a Bo-Jo, with red fruits, gentle. I enjoyed it.
