decanted half the bottle for almost an hour; vacuvin'd the second half and had two days later. notes of both days are consistent.
deep ruby in the glass with medium body. lovely earthiness and sous-bois in the nose along with dark cherry and blue fruit aromas; some floral whiffs appear as well (roses and violets). in the mouth is light to medium bodied, dry and savoury. mellow on the attack, the dark and red cherry fruit notes are lifted by a pleasant acidity and have some spicy and peppery accents with moderate complexity. the tannins are fully integrated and together with a mineral vein, frame the wine mid-palate and into the finish of lovely fruit.
enjoyable Pinot that to me seems about as developed as it will get… so feel free to drink up!
13% AbV; 8 barrels produced; 55% Radian and 45% Sanford & Benedict fruit

Somewhat heavy on an initial taste, but more light and balanced as it was exposed to air. It would be an interesting bottle to age. If you can be patient, I would let sit until 2022 or 2023.

Completely agree with Fred O, so quoting: "transparent violet color. Nose herbal, earthy. Palate light red fruits, silky depth; rocky minerals on the finish with very faintly chalky tannins. High acidity. Nice structure to this, drinking well now but curious to see how this does with a few more years. 92 pts with upside."

One of my favorite expressions of Pinot that Liquid Farm has made to date. This has certainly benefited from additional time. Starts out a bit tart with choke cherry, mulberry and dark berry notes. It slowly opens and smooths out with additional air. I did not decant, but would probably recommend doing so for those who want to optimize the experience. The quality of the vineyard source is evident here.

Finally starting to hit stride. Lots of bright red fruit, nice spice, plenty of mineral character, good acid, medium to light body typical of LF pinot, has a nice elegance about it, enjoyed very much and imagine this has plenty of time left.

From magnum, delicious easy drinking crowdpleasing. In a good spot, drink now or over next couple years — don’t think extended aging will improve it, fruit may fade.

Pale Ruby color. Dark cherry and oak on the nose. Wine is fruit forward and light bodied. Red fruit notes of cranberry, strawberry, and cherry on the palate. Bright acidity. Medium alcohol. Delicate touch of light tannins. Delicious SRH Pinot. Even better on Day 2. Glad I have 3 more bottles to monitor its development.

Pnp; Day 1 this was a little tight, some rose notes, charred oak, fairly high acid, felt a tad disjointed. (~88-89) After a glass recorked and placed back in cellar.
Day 2 completely different. Felt like the wine came together, much better balance. Oak was less noticeable with more strawberry, cranberry fruit supporting the acid. I am still hopeful for more development, will check back in a year or so.

Still a little to early, I wasn't as patient as I had intended to be. Pnp and drank over 3-4 hrs. Nice evolution with some air. Dark raspberry/cherry, spice, and a faint sous bois in the background, good concentration without being over extracted. Decent acidity, medium weight, earthy and moderate complexity with room for improvement over time. Probably one of if not my favorite CA pinot. As noted by an earlier taster there is a touch of heat that comes through which is suprising given the 13% abv. Overall I think this was a fantastic effort from the LF team and I look forward to tasting these after a few more years in the bottle. 91+

Crimson colored. Ripe berry nose. Cherry and some cola with a jolly rancher quality. A bit of heat on the backend and jalapeño. Not as good as the SMV.

Nice follow up to the 1st release. More structure than the 14. Still very elegant in style, with translucent rim and clear ruby core. Med to light weight with a nice concentration of fruit, nice high toned acidity and more middle palate heft. Will try again in 6mo to a year and try to gauge where these are headed.

Dark color, soft tannins, strawberry and raspberry with chalky mineral finish. This has more sap and viscosity than the '14 Radian, though to be fair Radian is only 55% in this blend. After a bit of air more cranberry notes. This is a crowd pleaser, and better than the vast majority of domestic Pinot Noir to my taste. Just 13% alcohol too

Falltacular 2016; 2/18/2017-2/20/2017 (FMIII in the OC): Hope this was the correct bottle of LF, didn't remember seeing the vineyards on the label... Delicious cherry and excellent balance. Bright and clean. Really good.

Beautiful translucent garnet color. Hint of tart cherries on the nose. No noticeable fruit on the palate but some minerality with a smooth finish
