From the south-east facing Pres du Cól vineyard in Willamette Valley. Mouthwatering and concentrated. Youthful, just beginning to drink, but should last well. Very good.

Sweet, mineral, acid, savoury. The nose has pronounced chicken skin aroma. Initial hit in mouth is soft with a hint of sweetness, then the minerality comes in a wave, a concentrated version of that chicken skin aroma, then the acid cleans out palate much like tannins would in a red, leaving tongue somewhat tingly. Medium length, with hint of apple / apple skin. No pronounced fruit, but a savoury character.

Youthful wine. Light oak but not too dominant. Creamy nose, lemon fruit, a touch buttery. Taste, lemon fruit, quite keen acidity, like an oaked premier cru Chablis. Needs a couple more years. Bit worried about the acidity levels.

A very cool customer. Loads of stones, minerals and tense energy. Could do with a bit more fruit perhaps but then maybe that's not the style they're going for. If you're looking rich and buttery, look elsewhere. Lightweight, steely and full of character.

Expected this to be a lot more oaky but alas, this is mineral, flinty, chablis-esque in a way, tight , reductive and very clean. Maybe could have used a touch more fruit but that would have made it a totally different wine. Maybe a touch mor enose would be great but overall a very solid wine. 89 but a very good 89

Friday Night Double Blind Tasting $60+ (Bin 75 Alpharetta, GA): Once again an incredible value, styled like Cote de Beaune Village-1er Cru level, tension, slight reduction, lemon curd, mineral, sweet fruit, love the acid; mine, everyone in France and thought it was in price point theme.

Tasted at The Wine Society Americas tasting, London. I like wines from Oregon and this chardonnay is new to me. Light gold in colour, light oak shows through but not in an overpowering way. Plenty of green apple and lemon, a long finish and well balanced. Very enjoyable.

This made an impression from the outset, and though showing plenty of fruit, the wine packs stalwart terroir-driven substance. Was not surprised to that the sourcing is primarily from Temperance Hill. The wine offers power and intrigue behind pronounced bramble, stone, and mineral layers. Potently structured and able to age for at least a decade. It needs time to integrate and is likely to improve. 92-94.

Nice Chardonnay. Early maturity, subtle oak, dense fruit. Classy.

Similar to before, dense lemon fruit and oak. Acidity in better balance in this bottle. Good wine.

Wow, smells great. Like stony white burgundy. And crisp and clear and precise. That does not suck.

Volatile acids on initial nose and taste-give this wine a few years in bottle so it would intigrate.

Too young right now-'13 is drinking better. Give this beauty a year. Very well integrated, but a little imbalanced with fruits, acids and minerals
