I might be influenced by the meal here. I made spaghetti carbonara for the first time and hit a home run. I didn't have any real Italian/Sicilian whites to pair with and this was ready to drink. Delicious combo, rich dark black cherry, earth notes. The acidity was moderate, there was a full mouthfeel to this, maybe because of the egg and cheese sauce. Don't know if I would recommend this combo but it worked for me.

Medium in body but quite intense in flavor. Oak is well-integrated, lending plushness without overt woodiness. Ripe red fruits - almost plummy. Distinctly spicy on day 1, perhaps a touch more harmonious on day 2. Good acid and fine tannin.

30% 115, 25% Pommard, 23% 777, 16% Wadenswil, and 6% 667. Aged 12 months in 1/3 each new French oak, 1st and 2nd passage. Decanted with minimal sediment. Aromas show smoke, gun powder and mineral details in front of the bright red cherry, cranberry and wild raspberry notes along with scents of black tea, rosemary, pine forest and earth with hints of pepper, florals and spice. On the palate, bordering on high toned acidity with moderate yet masculine tannin structure. Flavors lean towards the darker side with black cherry, pomegranate molasses and bramble berry with earth, smoke, black tea, mineral, and singed rosemary notes that bring in touches of pepper, spice and cola. The finish lingers highlighting the smoky mineral play.

Dark cherry and bramble dark berries on the nose. Smells dusty like the end of summer and into fall. Some notes of cola and a hint talc powder. Really smells great.
I’m out of positives though because the wine drinks way too heavy, it feels like the new oak overpowers and all the freshness on the nose is lost. Very disjointed from the nose. Cherry syrup, almost medicinal, clove and spiced citrus, but just blunt and heavy. Certainly a hot year but this just doesn’t drink with any lift.
Loved earlier vintages and admittedly I’m hit and miss on 15s from the valley in general, but I’m pretty underwhelmed on this one.

Green raspberry, red cherry, and light forest floor on the nose. Palate is similar - a little green vegetal note and raspberry. Low tanins and acidity. An overall good wine, but nothing spectacular.

Solid Burgundian style Pinot. Light ruby strong color, but still transparent 70%. Pleasant nose. Smooth on the way down. Definitely decent alcohol content. Aka not low. Light refreshing. Did chill and aerate! Similar to Patricia Green. Strong cherry and mid cherry deeper notes. Full mouth feel. Solid tannins in the aftertaste, not overwhelming. Similar to Patricia Green Pinot Noir Estate.

LPnP, light ruby in the glass. Aroma's of ripe cherry, earthy spices and hints of cola.
Decently balanced and integrated with red cherry some strawberry and oak spices compliments by earthy elements.
Had some left and vacuumed for 2 days. Surprisingly quite good on day 3. Red fruits are still front and center and a very soft mouth feel. Great entry Pinot!

Pinot in the City (Chicago, IL): Walk-around tasting, brief note. Lush red and black cherry with soft tannins. Good weight. Best to enjoy near term.
