Great acidity that is giving the wine more freshness - acidity is medium + but well integrated. The fruit is dark cherries, blackberries, also forrest flor, spices, menthol and some licorice - we are also getting rose petals - this is a well made wine - that has developed well - good long aftertaste - we are giving high 92 after discussing 93 - a nice Barbera.

I’m not usually the biggest fan of Barbera, but this one I’ll happily make an exception for, medium weight, great nose of brambly fruit and Middle Eastern spice, killer acidity and a really juicy finish

Not much change since my last bottle in November. An understated nose compared to 15 and 17 with cool fruited Barbera, violets, tar, and licorice. It's mid weighted with a sense of calm and grace. More licorice, tar, spice, florals and snappy crunchy fruit on the palate. Excellent acid balance keeps it fresh and detailed. Some savory notes are starting to develop. This is a graceful, harmonious wine where its constituent parts add to a greater whole rather than taking center stage. Outstanding and my favored style of Barbera. Quite long on the back end. Drinking at peak. 92

A lovely, cooler profiled Barbera nose. Fruit, violets, and black licorice. On the palate, it's supple and sappy with excellent balanced acidity. More cooler Barbera fruit, some licorice and spice along with floral back notes. There is a sense of ease and harmony here that seems to be a house trait. A graceful, mid weighted, nuanced Barbera that draws you in rather than looking for attention. To anthropomorphize, It would be the quiet, interesting person in the room. Long on the back end. This is a pretty cohesive wine with beautiful balance and a sense of transparency. Effortless drinking. Drinking at peak right now. Yum. 92

Dark crimson with a purple tint. Had a sip when I opened and seemed great but writing this after about 30 min in a glass. Dark red & ripe berries, black cherry cordial, mushroom, bay leaf nose. Nice acidity - tart cranberries, juicy red cherries, gravel, tiny touch of oak. Really great balance, no reason to not drink it now if you want.

The nose is a delight with abundant, ripe dark fruits, graphite, licorice and forest floor notes. On the palate quite rich, mouth-filling even, yet very light on its feet. Ripe-fruited, yet dry and savory. Finishes very clean and refreshing. Bound to improve in the cellar but even now it is extremely drinkable and satisfying.

A very light and elegant Barbera from Ravera,(Novello) ready to drink . Not a big difference from 2015(which I decanted no need), the name indicates a higher price so no good Q/P.

Sitter lenge. Denne kan godt ligge noen år.

Very effusive and vibrant aromatics, cherries and spices with a touch of violets, can smell it from the other side of the table. Light to medium bodied, driving acidity with a brush of fine tannins on the midpalate, cherry and kirsch cherry flavours, but the thing that stands out for this wine is the intensity of flavour, and all without excess weight. A twist of dried herb on the end.

Notably clean and pure primary barbera fruit. Slenderly built with pitchfork acidity, soft tannins and intense flavours. Long finish where the 14% abv pass without notice. Obviously from an excellent vintage - hold 5-7 years for the underlying complexity to emerge.

This was one of the best young Barberas I have had so far. Wonderful red color, wonderful red berry aromas in the nose. Absolutely gorgeous mouthfeel with tons of sweet red berries, great acidity and soft tannins. The only minus was a hint of sharpness from the 14% alcohol on the mid palate. Otherwise great to drink now with great aging potential. 93++

Tasted during visit. Beautifully pure and bright aromatics of red cherries, spices, violets, overall very lifted. It has medium body and good persistence, with high acidity and medium- tannin. Excellent length and freshness. A tense, bright and super fresh Barbera that will pair nicely with all kind of food. Too bad these wines are so difficult to find.

In 2017, we thought best to wait 5-7 years before consumption. And here we are, smack in the middle of the drinking window!
