I wrote in a couple notes about this release that the peach sprites were more subdued or muted but tonight it resembled previous tastings where that was a highlight of the wine. Straw colored, light bodied, aromas of floral and apricot and flavors of peach predominate with tones of lychee, pear, apple, citrus and hints of lime with a crisp clean sharp tangy finish. Still vibrant and tasty in its fifth year. https://unwindwine.blogspot.com/2021/07/team-beef-tenderloin-dinner-features.html

Consistent with earlier tasting notes ... Consistent with earlier tasting notes of this label back in 2018, this was light straw colored, light bodied, this vintage is more subdued and muted than recent vintages with moderate pear flavored fruit punctuated by citrus and grapefruit with only a slight hint of that peach flavor so predominate in some past years that reveals itself after a half hour or so from opening. https://unwindwine.blogspot.com/2020/10/cliff-lede-napa-valley-sauvignon-blanc.html

A little too heavy and sweet for me. Highly perfumed tropical fruit with only accents of citrus and green. In line with other vintages but a little more sweetness. Not bad for the price but I’d stick with Sancerre.

A bit different from previous vintages. I am used to this opening with grapefruit and lemon zest with peach on the finish. For me, the grapefruit/lemon balance was off. This was still very good but a bit one dimensional with heavy lemon up front and a bit of sweetness, maybe lychee nut on the fitness. Still a big hit with guests.

Atypical SB nose with fresh grass, gooseberry, white grapefruit, and savory herbs. A touch waxy from the semm. Palate is round, creamy, and full. Acid is med plus, alcohol is creeping up there (14.4). Length and complexity, showing balance. I think solid Napa SB. Oak is pronounced.

Hay, straw, green fruits, touch candied but not over doing it, Zach notes Christmas pine needles, and then full across the palate, not all the way, kinda wish it would take it more over the top, but I can understand why they did not. And a lingering sense of acerbic-ness.

Lots of the citrus you would expect from a Sauvignon Blanc, however much more body and much rounder than most. Very well made and well balanced. Better after 30 minutes of air.

Fruity and lush style, but not over the top. Pineapple, pear, grapefruit and lychee on the nose. Comes together nicely on the palate for this big styled SB. A pleasure to drink. Delicious!

This pale yellow wine is a blend of 82% Sauvignon Blanc, 14% Sémillon, 3% Sauvignon Vert and 1% Muscat Canelli. Offering a nice bouquet of jasmine, orange zest, stone fruits and Asian spices, it is light-to-medium-bodied and vibrantly acidic. The flavors mirror the aromas, resonating with oak as a result of its partial barrel fermentation. The middle palate is dense, while the lengthy finish shows some heat from its 14.4% alcohol. Overall this is a well-made Sauvignon Blanc, but is a bit overdone with respect to oak and alcohol. Drink now-2019.

Pale straw color. Aroma of pear and citrus. Medium bodied. Pineapple, pear, grapefruit and a hint of lemon zest on a medium finish. Nicely balanced with medium acidity. I sense a slight change in style in more recent vintages, toward something a bit more mellow than earlier efforts. Initially chalked it up to age with the 2015 but the 2016 has the same characteristics. Makes for a more interesting wine without sacrificing the crispness.

Light gold color, aromas of pear, grapefruit and pineapple. Flavors of pear, grapefruit, papaya. Slight petillance adding to the medium acidity, yet balanced smoothness. Good body with nice medium plus finish.

Easter Weekend Wines; 4/15/2017-4/16/2017: Light gold color. The nose shows intense lemon, gooseberry, apricot, and something that reminds me of lily pads and aquatic white flowers. Medium-to-full-bodied with such vibrant, but balanced, acidity. Lime/lemon, blood orange and apricot, the fruit is pure, deep, zesty with waxy/honeyed texture balanced off notes of chalk dust and mountain stream minerals. Long finish. An intriguing, impressive and absolutely delicious Napa Sauv Blanc, and such a solid value. Fermented in French oak barrels, stainless steel and concrete eggs. Includes 14% Sémillon, 3% Sauvignon Vert, and 1% Muscat Canelli.

Not a bad effort but can get better at the same or slightly higher price point (e.g. Twomey or Rombauer).

Lots of citrus - lime and lemon - and fresh cut grass on the nose. A tad grapefruit and citrus on the mid palate. Oak is there.

Charleston Food & Wine Festival; 3/1/2018-3/3/2018 (Charleston, SC (various locations)): Served as part of the passed apps and then also paired with the first course. It's a nice version of Napa SB. More honeysuckle and some lime. Less grassy. Enjoyable.
