Didn't take notes, but really enjoyed this (375 ml bottle) a few days ago. All the parts seemed to be integrating well already. Stonefruit and tropical fruit were there in great balance with the acidity, orange notes and tobacco. Dangerously easy to drink, glad to have another bottle (A-).

Golden, appears darker than expected of its age. White flowers and mild botrytis on the nose. Unctuous, with some tartness towards the end to balance out the sweetness. Easy to like, albeit a little 2 dimensional.

Vibrant gold in color Sweet honey, stone fruit nose. Honeysuckle notes. Unctuous. Nicely balanced. Long finish. Loads of stewed white fruit. Concentrated flavor profile. Tastes like the nose. Really nice closer for the price. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Nose: Beautiful perfumey nose of honey, fresh pear, white peach, and a touch of pineapple.
Pal: Medium body, good concentration, good acidity. Sweet but not quite as sweet or unctuous as in "great" vintages ('11, '09, '01). 2016 is a lighter vintage but still a very good one.
This is delicious by itself. Or with a good blue cheese (Roquefort, Stilton, Fourme d'Ambert, Maytag, Jasper Hill).
Pronounced nose of classic botrytis, some apricots and a hint of saffron. Well balanced sweetness and acidity on the palate with hints of orange peel. Long aftertaste. A great wine.

Paired with tarte tatin. Pale gold colour, honeysuckle and a tinge of lemongrass on the nose. Quite balanced on the palate, with some acidity to balance the sweetness. No complex secondary notes at the moment.

From 375. Pale color that belies the intense richness and unctuousness in the mouth. Very sweet, lacking the freshness and acidity of other years. There are waves of stone fruit - honey nectarine, dried apricot, with some orange marmalade and bitter almond adding interest. Light botrytis spice and a kiss of oak. Finish is lengthy. Overall a bit cloying and not a rebuy.

Fresh, lifted, energetic, candied orange, pineapple, apricot, vanilla, honey and floral notes appear on the nose and in all that sweet, ripe and overripe fruit, balanced with a jolt of acidity on the palate. Give it time for the secondary notes to appear, if you can wait. Else, it's already a delicious, sweet treat.

Light straw color. Apricot, citrus and oak on the nose. Apricot, citrus, honey and oak on the palette. Fresh despite the sweetness. The acidity balances it nicely. The oak is on top but gets a lot more integrated after a few days in the fridge.

Lovely promising pale gold colour. Rather little botrytis on the nose, its more honeysuckle, pleasant.
I find the palate is slightly lemon with barely ripe pineapple and a bit of apricot bite in the mix. That, of course, is the botrytis which is in support. Its far from syrupy, in fact its quite light and fresh, but there is a lovely persistent sweetness there. Also a very pleasant mix of just ripe fruit - light ripe lemon, grapefruit, pineapple, tangerine, nectarine and a touch of apricot kernel.
Very nice acid to carry the flavours through.
This is a great mix of well judged ripeness and acidity. I don't get the overt botrytis and viscosity of a great Sauternes but this is everything we need to go with most desserts and cheese.
Superbly judged for the warm vintage, a lovely clean finish. Refreshing. What's not to like? The price point is also good news.

Pineapple, and yellow peach. A touch of Kiwi. A bit warm? Perhaps the dry summer had an effect? Overall there is richness. They could not escape the hot, dry summer. So one has the impression that the wine would be better with more lift. But, this is ... 2016. 88-91
