Slightly shy on the nose but very harmonious and balanced on the palate. The terroir comes out, it his not too punchy but very refined and smooth. Very good length

This was PNP, on the nose so much clean white fruits and freshness, balanced and just exquisite with a lovely creaminess. Best I ve had so far from this vineyard.

Decanted for ~5-hrs prior to serving (blinded). Interestingly in the same flight (of 3), there was another similar '15 Bouchard Chevy that was served first. Pale-yellow, this came across as more giving, with continual evolution in the glass. Notes of lemons, lime & chalk greeted the nose. Mineral & stony on the palate, with bits of orange-peel & fresh ginger too. Fresh, lively & dense/sappy at the same time, it had that fine linear-line, and finished long. Very nice, and should improve even further with cellar age!

Hosting JJ at home. Drank in Gabriel Standart. 1 hour of air in bottle and it opened up beautifully. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of chalky minerality, herb, green lime, citrus lemon, nutty toast oak, bit of oil. Wet stones minerals with more air. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), medium body. Initially medium+ progressing to pronounced intensity, with aromas of citrus lemon, green lime, herb, honeyed nuts and toast oak, chalky minerality, stony minerals. Long sweet nuts finish. Excellent quality. Balance and controlled. Not as ripe as expected as I thought of a 2015. Love it. Drinking so well already.

Tasting of Bouchard Père Premier and Grand Cru Wines (Beaune, France): Medium to lighter yellow. Intriguing nose of bitter citrus, herb, and a whiff of smoke. Lovely glycerine texture, soil, and amazing acidity. Very expessive and gorgeous balance and poise for a 2015. Moderate length with some vanilla oak peeking through at the end. A fantastic wine with an unusual degree of finesse for this ripe vintage.

Henriot 2015 Burgundy Tasting (City Winery Chicago): Brief note, trade tasting. White flowers, honeysuckle, honeycomb, round and rich creamy 'leesy' flavors. Very good depth and persistent finish, will require time to develop.

Grand Cru White Burgundy Fest: A bit short and clipped. Have not been wowed by this vintage from Bouchard.

Acker "Paulee" Burgundy Dinner (Capital Seafood - Beverly Hills CA): Paulee style dinner. Magnum. Rich and powerful with lots of lush fruit in complete control, so less complex today vs Chevalier expectations. Upside?

This bottle a little more closed compared to the 1st bottle I had despite decanting this from 4pm.but overall still a pleasure.

This cuvee showing its ripeness, but overall well balanced. Good tension here for a '15. Obviously requires more time

Balanced. Bold but not too heavy. Lemon citrus, almond, oak. Fantastic bottle.

Ripe, exotic, solid material here. not clearly Chevalier to my taste. Rather anonymous and at 1er level I’d say.
