  • This was quite simply an outstanding pinot and easily the finest Radio-Coteau I've had. Something hauntingly profound on the nose. Wet earth, saddle leather, cigar shop, fresh baked cherry clafoutis, warm asphalt after it rains. The wine is incredibly complex on the palate. Roasted mushroom, unlit cigar, a bit of horse shit. Morello cherry, strawberry preserve. After a few hours I start to pick up the hallmark of Radio-Coteau for me. Graphite. Pencil lead and ripe strawberry. The finish is expansive. There is an indescribable quality to this. Like when I first had Dujac, there is a harmony you are not expecting. Flavors you haven't had before. What an incredible wine.

  • Pop and pour. Tasted with food (rib-eye steak, spinach and tomato-avocado sald, in case you were wondering). Tasted on its own.
    Purple color. Clear.
Beautiful floral noise, with dried tangerine peel, cherry amd cranberry and fresh earth.
Beautifully vibrant and elegant, with good red tangy fruits. Acidity carries the fruit in a nicely balanced, delightful wine.

  • A dramatic nose...I love the variety of scents when you first open this wine. Aromas of cherry, earth, chalk, and a wonderful barnyard funk that ebbs and flows. The flavor profile takes some time to develop in the glass, which makes sense given the young age. Suggestion of cherry cola and strong acidity at first; you need to be patient with this wine, otherwise it just doesn't reward you at all. But just wait and the light red berry/fruit flavors emerge; almost Germanic or Austrian in style, very dry and seems austere with decent tannic activity. But there's a lot going on here as the wine unfolds in your glass. Delightful.

  • Not flawed, just not much there.

  • Pop and pour and tasted initially with food (home-made Barese semolina/farina noodles in chicken broth, in case you were wondering) and then on its own.
    Deep ruby color. Somewhat cloudy.
Nice floral nose with fresh cranberries and wild strawberries. Slight herbal notes too.
Bright and lively acidity n the first sip, continuing with that fresh red berry and floral element. A bit restrained. Has a nice savory herbal note. This is enjoyable.
