Elegant Zinfandel, in a good drinking window. Bright red fruits, hints of sweet cherry, raspberry, with a silky mouthfeel with good acid balance and long finish. Became more interesting with air, picking up dark fruits, with hints of black tea, spice and orange rind.

It has been quite a few years since I have had a Turley Zinfandel, and I was surprised a little by this wine. While still very fruity, there was a silky and lighter density to it than I expected. The 15.8 alc was hidden pretty well, too. Not a style that I would like to drink very often, but a well made wine. Ann was not a fan.

Comes across a bit sweet and candied, and a little out of balance. Could use more acid. Also seems a bit one note on the palate, though there is some nice spice box and flowers on the nose.

Cherry, tea, and warm spices on the nose. Yellow/red cherries and apple on the palate. Similar to another bottle I tried in June 2018 - did not improve. Good but just "OK" for a Turley, was expecting a bit more. Drink now.

Killer Zin. Really distinctive Lodi bottling, jammy berry goodness with hint of herb, and smooth tannin finish on the palate that lingers. Great bottle - drink now!

Another Turley aging well. Much more balanced from tasting last year with nose of cassis and jam. Red pepper, mixed berry and plum on the palate. Long leathery finish with good tannins.

Medium ruby color with slow legs. Strong vegetal aromas on the nose giving way to a red jammy nose. The palate is a bit hot with mixed red/ blueberry flavors. Long velvety finish.

15.8% abv. Medium ruby, expressive aromatics. On the palate, raspberry, blue berry and Zin spice. Very good depth and length. Delicious now and will improve with several more years in the bottle.

Pure Turley deliciousness. Lush dark red and purple fruit. Complex. Benefits from a little air. Long finish.

Consistently one of the best Turley vineyards. Round, balanced, and great finish. Medium body, light cherry notes.
