Reynaud Tasting (Freiheit Vinothek, Ulm, Germany): Glass: Spiegelau Universal All wines tasted blind/blind, opened a few hours before and decanted right before the tasting. Quite similar to my previous notes. More like a Wachau or Molitor style of dry Auslese, lots of botrytis. Dense, complex, noticeable residual sugar, good balance, long finish. 91-92

J.L. Chave Hermitage vertical tasting (Freiheit Vinothek, Ulm, Germany): Popped and poured. Clear, deep golden colour. Nose reminded me of an off-dry, ripe Molitor Riesling Auslese: dried, candied pineapple, dried apricots and some floral notes. Beautiful. On the palate the same impression: Not fully dry, more off-dry, botrytis notes, peach, apricot, sweet ripe fruit, spicy. Creamy and balanced, good length. 91-92 Potential for another decade. Fantastic PQR!

For the eye: Dark Yellow amberish In the nose: Ripe Yellow fruits and very chemical / Medical, disappointing noes At the palate: Very different and harmonic, (over)ripe yellow fruits - Melon, Pineapple, dried abricots, quince sweet heavy flowers. A very special experience, however it might have passed the peak, so drink up gents..

My 3rd vintage of this bargain vine (a Rayas offspring) makes me wonder whether this is off - or not fully developed yet: Overripe fruit, honey, nuts and spices here, a hint of oxydation there, complemented by an all too pointy acidity.
Granted, I had sampled 2009 and 2010 in 2018, both of which I rated 89. So maybe this one needs more time. For now, quite sippable but by no means easy drnking.

Dark Yellow - Amber, heavy legs Decanted and aired. In the Nose: Strong bouquets of ripe yellow fruits, perhaps a vague oxidation? On the palate: Long, Deep, complex and harmonic, still some acidity. Lots of ripe yellow fruits - Pineapple, quince, melon, apricot, but not sweet. Some minerals .... A very special white wine - I guess you either like a lot, or you dislike it - Really no compromises. Enjoyed with Ravioli stuffed with truffles and little creamy sauce, which turned out to be a fantastic combination with this wine, as i had the power and depth to cut the truffles and the creamy sauce. Unfortunately only 2 bottles left

What a funky wine. The nose almost has a botrytis note followed by yellow and green Italian plums, honey, a hint of tropical fruits some sweet herbs. It's viscous on the palate but clean on the finish. Very interesting for sure.

Bouquet of orange blossom honey, straw, and tropical fruits. Dry, yet rich, lush, and rounded. Notes of herbal teas on the palate, especially chamomile. Modest alcohol, great balance.

Honeyed, intense, dense, sort of nutmeggy/herbaceous/musky melon-golden apple-stone fruit-orange juice amalgam, with some savory, subtly oxidative depth. Silky almost oily texture, lifted by good acidity. An impression of slight sweetness, but completely dry by the finish. A serious, complex wine for its level. Comes across as somewhat stolid, old school stuff that's better consumed by one's self late at night with a book than popped for a dinner party or something; in any case it's full of character, enjoyable/moreish, and a good value.

Tasted at Noreetuh in NYC. Beautiful nose, sweet and flora like a Sauternes but the palate is bone dry. Honey and melons and a bit of lemony, grassy acidity on the palate. Nicely balanced and so drinkable. Paired perfectly with smoky, porky things. Ace.

First try of a white DdeT, rich nose, nutty, dried fruit, lots of honeyed apricot, good weigth, very balanced fullbodied bottle, ending floral and long, to drink now and over the next few years, ***, 89- 90+ potential
