Dark, very structured lots of fruit. Subtle nose but palate is full of dark fruits, has a bit of spice and flowers that are subtle. Holding well, will improve over time.

Initially big fruit (wild blueberries) and cinnamon in the nose. Mellows to tobacco, dark cherries, and warm spices after opening a couple of hours. Nice structure with drying tannins—really needs steak or other meaty dish. Very nice Bordeaux!

Rich deep fruit aromas, has earthy element. Deep dark color, no significant sign of age. Delicious! Has a polished, gentle palate grip with caressing acids and tannins. Fills the mouth with a flavorful and texturally complex experience. Could age, but I'm enjoying this a lot right now.

This medium/full-bodied wine is balanced, pleasant, fruity and intensive on the palate. With its fresh acids and grippy tannins, the wine is structured, but by no means in a harsh way. The wine is displaying nice notes of dark and red berries, ink and wet forest floor. This wine is tasty now, especially after decanting, but it is also suitable for mid-term ageing.

Classically Bordeaux with good black fruits, faint spice, roasted meat, and firm tannins. More structured and less elegant vs what I expected based on previous entry level 2016 Bordeaux. Better to cellar, since I think there is plenty of fruit here.

Not bad, not special but very drinkable. Some heat and some lingering finish but otherwise pretty mild and straightforward. Solid but unremarkable. Could be a good qpr depending on the p.

very deeply colored, purple rim. on the nose quite exuberant. very merlot'ish to me with plenty of casis tinged plum. there is some new oak in there. not really cigar box bordeaux but crunchy merlot. on the palate high acids, a full midpalate, finishes with a moderate amount of firm tannins and moderate alcohol. balanced wine with good length, very good intesnity, ok complexity. is more rustic than finesse driven has a very nice texture and very good expression of place. i liked this a lot, it has plenty of life left (easily 5+ years) and I wish I would have bought more.

PnP while still lightly chilled. Dark color. Cassis, mushroom, pencil shavings, whiff of tobacco. Tannins started off smooth but had surprising grip on the back end. This is what I like to drink and at a great price. Last night I had an Argentinian Cabernet that cost more and tasted exactly like red licorice. This has perfect balance between fruit and savory elements. It's pretty rare that I score a wine higher than Jeff Leve but in his defense it was five years ago.

Decanted 30 mins. It continued to open up over 2+ hours and will reward you for a healthy decant. A harmony of black fruits greets the nose, not terribly big but quite agreeable. Classic mouthfeel of a Merlot dominant wine blended with CS for structure that maintained delightful balance over a medium+ length finish. This is an outstanding wine, a classic example in a classic vintage of why the Listrac AOC shouldn't be so overshadowed by the historic Médoc big names.

By the glass. Same owners of the Château Ducru-Beaucaillou. A solid, juicy and crunchy wine in the mouth, surely by the specific vintage. There is depth but it lacks elegance. On the nose it is quite linear and reserved. Without edges with a moderately fruity character.

Wow! This has serious depth, complex flavor, and drinks like a much more expensive wine. Great value.

Ripe black cherry and wild strawberry aromatics, lush, silky tannins, medium bodied, and with a supple, fresh, plum and cocoa note in the finish.
