Listen to Motz in 2018! A beautiful wine tonight, PNP, 20 minutes in the glass, followed for another hour. Vibrant red cherry, red plum and raspberry fruit notes. Then the spice, earth/loam, and florals kick in. Getting better and...then there was none... 2023-2025.

Mainly Oregon (Noizé): Again, the cherry side of ruby, but lighter and more translucent. Darker but less expressive red fruit (though very lifted strawberry when opened a couple of hours ago). Silky texture on entry. Nicely savoury, with a slight liquorice element to the red fruit on the finish. Opens up to become a bit surly. **(*1/2)

Surprised at the heft, a somewhat big Pinot in texture and fruit profile. A bit under 14%, retains some elegance. Quite tasty and very well made. A bit young. Look forward to another in some time.

Plenty of spice/herbs to go with sweet darker fruit notes. A hint of cola bottles almost - not as unpleasant as it sounds. Close to 14% but retains elegance. Lovely.

I continue by Oregon Pinot journey. Quite muddy and earthy on the nose. Mushroom. Young on the palate. Good complexity and minerality. Very brambly. Raspberry leaf. Clean and precise on the palate.

Elegant, mineral, restrained and authoritative. Spicy, with liquorice. It's polished but not rich or glossy - new world Pinot, without being at all fruit-driven. Compelling.

Most folks thought this was the best wine in the tasting. I thought it tied for best. Beautiful intoxicating nose of cherry, raspberry and herbs, followed by a mouthful of luscious primary cherry. Somewhat soft, but with good acid balance on the palate.

Very good bottle. Very fruit forward, but drank young. I didn’t get a ton of tannin but only drank for lunch the day after my wife opened the bottle the previous evening so that perhaps explains it. Fruit (cherry, strawberry, red currant) and minerals (good minerality) on the palate. Had a nice nose with ripe fruit, bit of tar and leather. Maybe an incomplete review given I only had it after it had been open for a bit over half a day - but I enjoyed it. Solid wine.

Floral and sweet berry perfume. Ripe and luscious. Ultra-appealing, and backed by impressive power and depth. This might not age as long as other vintages, but there is no rush. It should evolve and hold for at least a decade.

A&B Oregon tasting (Coopers' Hall, Devonshire Square): Tasting sample. Served a lot cooler. Lots of spice to the fruit, and a touch of cola cube too. Some grip on the finish. This is very decent and needs a few years — the 2013 was good (if young) last year. 4

Dark fruit, earth, leather on the nose. Black cherry up front, spice and earth miss palette. Suede tannins. Moderate dryness. Very well balanced.

Very high acid with high toned redfruit marked by spice, lavender, and minerals. Really needs 3-4 years bottle age but drinkable now.

MoT Masterclass - Oregon Pinot and Chardonnay (Singapore): Light ruby (pretty much all Oregon Pinots has this color). Muted nose, not much aroma, Burgundian palate, elegant texture, good palate but little aroma.

Wow! Seductive wine! Red flowers, raspberry compote, acerola, rosehips, and bramble. Lush and seductive mouthfeel, silky texture, impeccable balance. Likely to improve.
