Not much on the nose, even after opened in the bottle for an hour or so. Light straw color with slightly acid taste of peaches and pears. Certainly adequate for what it is.

Very sharp and acidic at opening but develops well after substantial amount of breathing. Weak nose, pale yellow color. Good fruit but not well balanced and short at the finish.

Dull, light yellow golden. Vanilla oak and apples on the nose. Medium bodied, fruit but lacks richness, apples with light oak and acid finish. Light, well balanced, good friut, tart finish. I would have it again.

no professional review available at time of consumption. i bought this for the purpose of previewing the newton style while i hold on to bottles of unfiltered for a while. nothing spectacular here. typical lemon and citrus but little backbone. seems intended for immediate consumption. i don't understand the intended retail price of 25. my discounted cost of 17 is more in line with value received. i like the wine a little better than cellar tracker average but agree that the unfiltered is probably the better value and hopefully the more exciting experience. take into account that this note is written by a senior citizen who is concentrating on drinking the best. others may find this to be a serviceable casual drinking wine.

This chardonnay has a nice gold color. A very light fruity nose. Soft on the tongue but very short on the finish. The 2002 Unfiltered "big brother" is certainly the better choice.

It is what it is. Plain but pleasant enough.

Pleasant wine, but had a bit of bitterness initially that faded.

Very nice balance of oak and fruit. Almost, "fit for a Queen".

Very nice with lots of fruit and bit of citrus. Butter and oak, too. Excellent summer chardonnay.

No doubt a CA Chardonnay with mild butter and oak. Just not as bad as most and has the fruit to carry it. Lacks in acidity.

Good nose. Not too much fruit. Little hot on the finish. Finish is off.

Light golden straw color. Aromas/flavors of toasted vanilla, pear, peach and apple. Lush mouthfeel and lingering finish.
